*admittedly I once used Dar for the name of a Halfling Rogue until I realized what I had done - but his last name was certaily NOT Dimplefoot.

Given some of the other names that they have given to minis (DDM & Dreamblade) and M:tG cards; this one seems pretty par for the course.

Those are pretty bad, but bad gnome/halfling gnomes don't really shock me much these days. None of those fill me with intense disdain the way our two big nominees do. Bear Balsac is just terrible. Cloaktrick Rogue is an achievement in the art of combining words in ways that do not work.

When I read Cloaktrick Rogue, I knew it referred to swordfighting, and indeed to the precise move even (which I saw used in the opera Carmen recently, bizarrely, by the toreador when fighting Don Jose), but it still seemed an absolutely amazingly cretinous name, because not only is just ugly/hard-to-say, but it suggests he has precisely ONE trick, because he not the cloakfighter rogue, nor the cloak & dagger rogue, but the "cloaktrick" rogue. Also surely all his enemies see his trick coming a mile off given that's his name

See, if your name is "Bear Balsac" and you survived past childhood then you're either a mensch or a complete psychopath. Either way, there's something interesting about you.

"Cloaktrick Rogue" belongs with "Hammerhit Fighter", "Magicblast Wizard" and "Arrowshot Ranger", fighting the Grey Orcs in the Nameless Dungeon beneath the Land of Place.

Anybody that one-dimensional dosen't deserve to be a mini. He should have been a counter.
