Valahad wipes his blade on the grass. Blade pointing towards the ground, he look curiously at the newcomer drow. He speaks into Lanharath's mind, and hopes his friend will translate his words. "Thank you for your help, you have shown yourself at an opportune time."

[sblock=ooc]Nice job everybody. We continue to work well together. Short rest? Milestone or not?[/sblock]

The drow remains quiet as he cleans the ichor from his blade and sheathes it. As he does, the focused intensity of battle fades from him, and by the time he turns to face the group his handsome features have settled into quite a friendly grin. It is very un-'drowlike,' and a little unsettling when combined with the typical drow aura of subtle menace.

"Everyone OK? I was sheltering nearby, preparing to bed down, when I saw these approaching the farm." He gestures at the bodies of the fallen.

[sblock=OOC]Hi, guys! Hope you don't mind me crashing the party. I'm in a few other 3.5/Pathfinder games with renau1g and he graciously invited me to give 4E a try. I've only been in two other 4E games - one folded before the first encounter was over and the other has been struggling - so I'm gonna need a lot of help with the technical stuff . . .[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]No prob. Let's RP for now.[/sblock]

When the drow finally speaks, Valahad takes a risk and speaks into the strange drow's mind. "What is it you are searching for? Why help us, though it is greatly appreciated."

The Drow gives a visible start at the voice in his head, and looks at each of the party swiftly - trying to gauge the source. He shrugs and settles down in short order, plainly deciding that it does not matter at this point.

"What do I search for . . . the answer to that could be complicated, and is probably best shared with people of somewhat longer acquaintance." He smiles again at the group, this time with a more wistful look than eager friendliness. "As to why I helped - I saw the possibility of people in need, a house attacked by wickedness, which gave me the chance to use my abilities for the protection of others. My mother taught me this is a way to make the world a better place."

River remove the battle standard from the ground. He looks at the others, seeing only minor wounds on each of them, he walk over the cultist. All are dead. River shook his head, sad there was no redemption possible for them. "Let's move those corpse out of here. We have no time to bury them, so we will burn those corpse. I'll make a prayer to the Host so there souls can travel to them. The Host will know what best to be done with there soul. Last thing I want is to see Khyber taking more power with there soul." Doing so, River put his word into action, and before burning down the corpse, River will search them in hope to find something useful in there search of the cult.

Disdainfully moving past the corpses, Sheeva walks off to the side, carefully watching the other Drow.

"The Host has no use for souls as tainted as these. It's better for all if these souls just shrivel up and disappear."

"Do you have a name sir? My name is Sheeva. My friends here are always a bit rude when it is time for introductions."

Surprised to see that combat is already over, Pok stands and rubs his sore body. *uuunh, I hate getting hit. That's a friendly voice, who would be "sheltering" all the way out here?*

Moving from body to body, Pok began thoroughly searching. Starting on his side of the house, and moving around the back room, searching Auldwyl's possessions as he went.
*Nasty smelling things, ho ho, but what does Auldwyl have for a spy?*

Finally making his was around to the curtain, Pok pulls back the fabric to reveal their comrade in arms, is another drow...

*Really?! Really?! * Pok's head sags, and his hand comes to his temple. *We are over half spies now, including me... and not all the spies are on the same side. Now which one of these two "conveniently place" drow works for this cult, and which works for the other force we've yet to deal with. * Pok's mind was already working overtime, trying to figure out the third angle, who would benefit from working both the Khyber cultists and the Silver Flame cultists.

Focusing his thoughts into something coherent, Pok reached out to Lanharath, *Lanharath, this case is getting more and more complex. Why don't we make a quick retrieval of this paladin, and get back to Daunton and my sister?*

Looking over toward the newcomer, Pok gives a slight raise of his hand, and moves away, hood still up. *Just what I need, a new organization learning who Pok d'Sivis is, I'll never a get a reputation for being unknown at this rate, I'd better double security, and be more careful with my alias. So stupid to introduce myself to the other drow as Pok, so stupid...* Pok continues to sift through the bodies and crates, and feel out the magical auras around him, glancing Auldwyl occasionally to make sure he wasn't attempting anything.

Lanharath frowns as he remembers the barrels of weapons. Immediately, he begins looking around for the farmer while speaking in to Valahad's mind.

"There are weapons behind the curtain, near the front door. It looks as if our farmer was simply bait for us, or perhaps he was coerced into helping."

[sblock=OOC] Lanharath rolls a35 Perception to notice anything "off" in the house as well as look around for the farmer. [/sblock]

Giving a good approximation of a courtly bow, the Drow responds, "Lady, I am called Feallmharaigh Coilineach* - late of House Phiarlan - and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Friends and allies usually call me Feall."

He turns to the others as they come into and out of sight, plainly uncertain about how to help without appearing to presume he is part of the group.

"Some here have mentioned Khyber. Is there reason for the cult to attack you specifically, or is this a bit of their random malevolence?"
