Lakatos Svikola

Back in the years of the alchemists and the seek of turning lead into gold, this man, Lakatos Svikola was a renown Ukrainian alchemist.
He discovered a formula to preserve his life, and many other alchemical wonders, but the metal transformation escaped his grasp. He isolated for centuries in a mountain refugee to perfect his art.
At some point, a specter irrupted in his house, and threated to kill him. Lakatos managed to temporary disable the ghost and escape with his life. When he emerged he found the world changed. It was 1950.
There was something much more interesting to do resarch on: Shadow. Lakatos devoured the litterature on Shadow and he performed some research himself. He was able to replicate, at certain extent, some effect of shadowy energy, and designed a special salt, that kept the foul creatures away. Well, most of the time. Alright, alright, it worked sometimes.
Eventually Lakatos found out about the Artemis foundation, and decided to learn what they knew...

I'm thinking of a hunter who had a little too close with brush with the lycanthropy. Either through an attack, or a less than ethical experiment, he's been exposed to the disease, but in a small enough dose that he's proven resistant thus far. He just has to shave twice a day during the full moon. But he was sent to the academy to train, partially because the shadow in his blood makes him unusually sensitive to its presence around him, but also (although nobody has told him this) because nobody's entirely sure he's out of the woods, and they figure the best place for a latent werewolf is somewhere where everyone around him is trained to kill them.

This sounds good. Stat him up!

VV, I don't think you've got the Defense / Toughness tradeoff right. If you're taking this tradeoff, it's based on a +8 cap. You have a +12 defense (8 + 4 = 12), which would limit you to a (8 - 4 = 4) +4 Toughness save bonus. The Attack Bonus/Save DC tradeoff seems to be OK.

I see 48 skill ranks, which should be 12pp, not 15pp.

I see 27 total feats, and you have 33pp showing as spent.

My calculations show 111pp spent.

Here are your powers rebuilt using Ultimate Power. No appreciable change.

ALCHEMY ARRAY [15PP + 5AP = 20PP]
BASE EFFECT - Alchemist's Fire: Damage 5 (fire, sorcery; Extras: Explosion (+1), Range - Ranged (+1)) [15PP]
AP - Shadowbane Salts: Mind Control 8 (sorcery; Extras: Area Burst 40ft (+1); Flaws: Limited: Shadow Creatures (-1), Range - Touch (-2)) [8PP]
AP - Lakatos' Healing Potion: Healing 7 (sorcery; Power Feats: Regrowth) [15PP]
AP - Pure Hydrochloric Acid: Damage 5 (acid, sorcery; Extras: Range - Ranged (+1), Secondary Effect (+1)) [15PP]
AP - Medusa's Perfume: Transform (Flesh to Stone) 5 (sorcery; Extras: Area Burst 25ft (+1); Flaws: Sense-Dependent - Scent (-1)) [15PP]
AP - Shadow Essence: Insubstantial 3 (sorcery) [15PP]

IMMUNITY 1 (Aging) (Power Source?) [1PP]

REGENERATION 9 (Bruised/Unconscious: Recovery Check 1/round (no action); Injured/Staggered: Recovery Check 1/round (no action)) (power source?) [9PP]

TOTAL: 30PP

I have an idea for a character who's powers are mystical in origin, but manifest primarily through physical enhancements. A 'physical adept' in Shadowrun terms.

The character is of a mystically charged bloodline; the line of Mayan royalty-priests. In ages past, some of this line was endowed by the sun-god to become 'jaguar people,' who's purpose it was to maintain the separation between the worlds of the living and the dead. Though the decimation of indigenous peoples buried those bloodlines under a tide of blood and foreign occupation and colonization, they weren't completely erased.

And this time, when the worlds are mixing, is the very time when they are needed most.

This is not a lycanthrope concept. The term 'jaguar person' refers to their enhanced abilities, and their tie to the sun-god, who is personified as a great celestial jaguar. In terms of powers, enhanced strength, agility, speed...some senses...perhaps a special attack that works on 'creatures of shadow' or somesuch.

Question: Would you allow the "Action" flaw to be applied to Alternate form (changing from Free Action to Full Action)? I am currently toying a bit with an "Angel of Light" form ...

I have not rebuilt your powers using UP, which I will do this afternoon.

Ah yea, I have to correct the skills formula, don't know why it adds more than it should.
I'll away the final review before making any changes.

Quick question, my apologies if I missed it.
The Revelation was 2012, what year is it now?

I'm at work now, so I'll stat up my character over the weekend.

I don't see a problem with any of that.
