Please, have you seen NewJeffCT's post? He clearly mentions two cities on the same continent, and you clearly posted the correct name of the continent on which CNN made the mistake. I do not understand why you keep defending NewJeffCT when he clearly posted an innaccurate analogy. If anything, you look foolish on your own website.

you are completely missing the point again. I'm referencing a mistake that is not related to the picture of Brazil on the map.

If there were no map on the screen and the crawl came across the bottom of the screen that said, "Giant Hornets kill 42 people in Hong Kong" somebody reading the crawl would think that the 42 people were killed in Hong Kong, not in another part of China that's nearly 1,000 miles away. The mistake is putting the name Hong Kong on the screen in the first place. However, since both Hong Kong and Ankang in Shaanxi Province are within China, comparing the mistake to two completely different cities in the US is appropriate.

It is related to the pic as it is a mistake in the pic. They made and error about the continent and the location in China.

You made an incomplete analogy by ignoring the continental mistake.

But there is one.

you're forgetting the first part of my answer already takes care of that part of the mistake - Hong Kong seems to have moved to around where Rio de Janeiro is located.

So, that already is saying that they have the wrong continent, since the last I checked, Hong Kong and Rio were on two different continents.

And then you forget all about it and name two cities on the same continent.
