As a side note, I will be posting my work on the Fire Snake tomorrow (Friday 9-12) and on Monday (9-15) I will be posting my work on the Salamander... for those interested in such things

I redesigned both and illustrated them for the MM. The rest of my monster redesign work that I did for 5th Edition will be going up in about two weeks.

As one of the lucky MM owners, I can say that the salamander was one of my favorite pieces in the book. Ever since a 3rd Edition campaign which featured salamanders as a major villain, I've had a soft spot for those monsters. And you've hit just the right tone of regal menace and bestial fury with that piece.

So what is the size of the Kraken's base? Those sharks for scale sure make it look like it ought to be waaay bigger than 20'x20'.

Yeah, I love it, rapidly becoming enamored of the style and the feel of it.

Going to use it as a Legendary unique, however. Just below the Tarrasque in power and myth.

Cool cool. I want all of the 5e HQ art. It may be coming little by little but I am getting it.
