It's probably significantly cheaper to licence a remake than licence the original song.

I think its more that they're going for more of a 'hard rock' vibe than the originals had, it fits Snyders Gritty theme better.

as for the trailer I like it, I do appreciate that they have introduced more humour and brightness into things too.

Well, just because they *could* afford to licence a song for a few thousand for a single trailer doesn't mean they wouldn't want to find an alternate with the same lyrics for half the cost...

I don't know about how I liked the "dream" sequence of Lois Lane and her seeing Clark Kent in the field.

And the implied "Yes".

Still no major storyline being revealed. More of the "lots of fighting". Sadly that was also the marketing for Batman v. Superman.

They've teased the storyline for a while.

Darkseid wants to invade. Steppenwolf is his vanguard. He's trying to find Father Boxes/ Mother Boxes left on the Earth, one of which was used to create Cyborg. Lots of parademons, as mooks the heroes can slaughter.
Batman is guessing evil is coming. He's building a team. They get together just as the forces of Apocalypse invade. Race to find the Cubes.

Superman is going to come back. He's likely going to be evil.
You can guess that with his teased knowledge of the future (from the Flash in Batman v Superman) Batman brings Superman back and the League is united. To be continued for part two where they fight Darkseid...

Why they'd play a cover of Bowie's Heroes rather than Bowie's version beats me, though.

We'll add it to the list of many things that're {probably} wrong with this movie.
Plot development, pacing, lighting/coloring, the batmobile (at least it not the Tumbler though), most of the costuming, some of the casting, & the fact that that it's mostly a Snyder film but now with some Whedon added.

thats not really story though it's plot.

Story is more things like "Aquaman initially refuses to join (Quote:"One Man is Stronger Alone") but after getting his ass handed to him when Stepenwulf invades Atlantis, he decides to join the fight above because Earth is being terraformed...."

still haven't seen Superman back (Clark kent in a dream doesn't cut it)

Well, I've noticed people can't help think of the version they first heard as 'the original', no matter what the actual original was. There aren't many cover versions that I like better than the original, unless they're significantly different from them. Good examples would be Gary Jules' version of Tears for Fears 'Mad World', or Tori Amos' cover of Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'.
