Without comment or context- I vote to pick 6 to include as full weapons, 6 to have combat stats for and 6 to list with nothing to aid the DM.

I am wondering if longsword got any love… man, I played a bunch of AD&D rangers with longswords and daggers… and as much as I love 5e… better to do two shortswords… wah wa wahhhh

Does LevelUp have rules for exotic weapons?
The word "exotic weapon" is not used in this game, but the functionality exists. If you want to [edit] include a weapon on a default proficiency list or invent [/edit] an unusual weapon, there is ample design space for that.

What does it matter what I want? I am asking about LevelUp.

There's 2 lists quoted here. The first looks like a list PHB simple & martial weapons plus many new weapons. Then there is a second list with only new weapons which include non-western weapons and other oddities.

The lists are presented without context, so obviously it makes us curious to know more about what is withheld. Such as: if some new weapons are shown together with the PHB ones, and other new weapons (tentatively called "exotic") are shown separately, does it mean that LevelUp has also new rules for acquiring proficiencies in weapons from the second list?
