No huge surprises to me, but I was hoping they'd mention minotaurs as a race option since they were so awesome on Krynn. I guess they wanted to keep player race choices to what would most likely be a group opposing the Dragonarmies at that time.
I wouldn't be surprised if there will be one or more sidebars in the character creation section going over quite a few things concerning races in the setting, with this being among the things mentioned there.

So anyone else notice there are multiple stat blocks on the same page a few times here? Three draconians on one page. Two dragon stat blocks on one page. That's awfully tight for 5E stat blocks. Two draconians on a page, maybe...but three? And two dragon stat blocks on one page? Are they going with a newer, smaller stat block finally?

Looks like the stat blocks for the death dragon will be on 194 while the descriptive text will be on 195. Which seems reasonable even with the current stat block format. Same for the draconians - page 198 is open as well.

Probably just minimizing the lore.

oh man I wonder if those sidekicks are an expansion of the Tasha rules, or just reprint...

Happy to see sidekicks represented. I really like the mechanic. (It'd be great to have sidekick classes added to D&D Beyond finally, WotC, hint hint. I know making non-PC race sidekicks would take more work, but I'll take that halfway step in the meantime.)
I am assuming that the "Named" Sidekicks are NPC stat blocks made with the Sidekick classes from Tasha's. The Sidekick Levels could be a straight up reprint of the Tasha's Sidekick rules.

I will also point out that death dragons are not full dragons. They could very well not have legendary actions which take up a lot of stat block space.
