D&D 5E Check Out Some (Minor) Monster Reveals From Bigby Presents: Glory of the Giants!

Thanks to miniatures company WizKids, some upcoming miniatures reveal some of the monsters in this Spring's official D&D adventure.

Some of the creatures included in the book (which naturally have a 'giant' theme) are:

• Stone Giant of Evil Earth
• Fire Hellion
• Goliath Chief
• Frostmourn
• Giant Lynx
• Death Giant Necromancer

There's not much more info than that, although the Death Giant Necromancer gets a description --

This Huge miniature features a chilling expression reminiscent of the grave. The souls flitting about this wizard of the undead will be sure to inspire terror for all that look upon its fell visage.

The grave is calling… how will you answer?

Finally, some real, juicy info on the book!

It's interesting that Diancastra is involved - she's a giant demigoddess, not the typical bickering wizards we've usually had hosting the monster books!

70+ giants, variants, and giant creatures looks great!

MToF also had Shemeska adding bits on the side, so not unprecedented.

Sounds like pretty legit content, too bad the rune Wizard and Primeval Druid seem not to have made the cut.

This looks great! Pretty much a mirror to Fizban's, which is not a complaint.

I noticed this release date is August 15th (at least on Wizards' website). I think that means we'll be seeing four books in a 5 month window?

Not condoning anything...but wasn't there something in slavic lore about controlling a swan /nymph girl by stealing her shawl?

There's a seal lady who marries you if you steal her skin (which she shed to run human.

Then murderizes you if she ever finds it again.

There is reason, Hellions are already a thing WotC owns and other creatures from MtG have appeared in none MtG crossover D&D books, like the Naiad in Candlekeep Mysteries.

Based on the IGN article, we now know they are a type of elemental evil cultist. So we can assume they are human/any humanoid followers of Imix.

So, possibly this guy:

Maybe a revamp of the Eternal Flame Cultist from PotA.

Based on the IGN article, there are 10 types of Giant Cultists, that is, Giants who are cultists, including 4 Elemental Evil Giants, 4 Demonic cult Giants, amd the Fire Hellion and Storm Herald. The Fire Hellion mini looks like a Fire Giant and a Tiefling had a baby, so that appears to be a Asmodean Fire Giant.
