I think you'll find that you can't use Planescape or Sigil in any way, as those are property of WotC, and not Open Content, to the best of my knowledge. Plenty of regions to explore and create detail for, just not that.

If the sun goes all the way around the planet once a day, it's not entirely clear to me how a year is defined at all, actually. That does require some thought.

Just because the world is flat with everything else going around it does not mean it need not rotate on its own, nor does it mean it is required to not be tilted with respect to the ecliptic plane. The sun in our system does rotate. I'm unsure as to if, or how much, the axis tilts.

Another possibility is to have a much more rapid precession of the equinoxes than we do on Earth. The poles trace a circle every 26k years or so. Summer in the northern hemisphere actually occurs when the Earth is at the farther end of the ellipse that is our orbit, but our orbit is not very...

Personally, I'd make it higher level, and perhaps restrict it to transferring enchantments that the caster could actually put on an item themselves. Probably a more expensive mat comp, too - perhaps 1/10 the value of the item. Also I'd make sure it specifically excluded artifacts and relics...

IIRC, at least some of Derleth's stuff is *not* in public domain, and it's remarkably easy to get tangled up in that regard. If you reference stuff Lovecraft wrote, you should be fine, but if you hit upon something in a mythos story that Derleth wrote that *isn't* previously mentioned by...

I'm almost thinking that there's an opportunity for an ongoing battle between the Tane and the Lovecraftian beasties that transcends mortal comprehension.

A decent DM will work to adapt to these tactics in careful ways, but not make it so that *all* enemies are immune to stealth. You have good players, which is very cool, and that should be rewarded. That said, as a DM I'd consider including more things that stealth doesn't help with, such as...
