Nice article! I definitely prefer the 2e Planescape Tieflings to what they did to them in 4e. :erm: I'm glad some of the 5e supplemental books let us add to the variety of the Tiefling appearances and heritage.
Too complicated. Just adding a few things would be better- I'd rather not see them be class-lite, and more just simple henchmen that just get a few abilities.
"I rarely see anyone" is not a good indication of what is happening elsewhere.
They made Barexit for an easier way out. Otherwise, just run a few adventures together- they made a couple ways out in the modules themselves.

Reskinning is highly DM dependent. What some will allow, others won't. Myself- I'll allow light reskinning, but not much more. Especially if it is something that goes out of the FR setting.
