Going back to the time before 3e came out, I had always been against critical hits before because I thought it was ridiculous that someone with a high chance to hit would have the same chance to crit as someone with a low chance to hit. For example, if you could hit a weak monster on an 11 or...
We're planning to be there. About to head out now.
One warning: I'll be on painkillers, so expect me to be even more Casstastic than usual.
(Tom, don't let Jody wabbit out on this now!)
Just as a heads up, I'm having surgery on Thursday, so there's a chance I won't be able to make it depending on how my recovery goes.
I'm planning on being there even if I have to hobble in, but I just wanted to warn ya.
Btw, you using characters from the show or original characters?
Yep. Definitely useful for a one shot, though you never know when there will be a sequel! I was part of a one shot that ended up going three sessions, the last of which was six hours long. From the sound of things, it seems like we might have a spin-off (same world, new characters) next year...

And I actually have a fix for True20 to bring in other dice which I intend to use if I ever get around to running a True20 game.
And just cause I hate only using d6s, how's this for a sanity mechanic?
You always have to roll under 2, and the difficulty of the check determines the die you have to roll. So the easiest would be a d4 which would be 50%, just like the standard 4 on 1d6. The equivalent of 5 would be rolling a...
For what it's worth, ThinkGeek got one sale out of doing this even before the con. I had gone to their website and saw something I had to have in the clearance section and bought it.
The wind-up flashlights are pretty cool too.
Thanks for running the game. I'm glad I finally got to play this and am calling dibs on Kat for next time!
Everyone was cool. Thanks for putting up with all my scouting.
Thank you for running this game! It was pretty cool and definitely captured the feel of the movie. The other players were very good as well and came up with lots of good ideas. I'm suprirsed it worked so well given that we created the adventure at the game. Interesting to have the players create...
