    Libram of Arrakis[Heroic tier artifact]

Maybe some kind of booby trap? Like it appears to be the book of rituals but when you try one it explodes? Or maybe something more subtle, but it's kind of hard to think of something other than damage given that the system has put the kibosh on ability score/experience drain.

Just a piece of paper with the words "goatse.cx"

Here's a handy little reference sheet I made.

Cool. Is "grabbed" not considered a condition?

New Gnolls: Hungerer and Filth of Ruin

I'm pretty sure the thing where the Hungerer dazes the opponent should be an "effect" not an "aftereffect". Effects are things that take place whether the attack hits or not (which I'm assuming is what you are going for here), whereas aftereffects are things that take place after a successful...

    Character Sheet Archive

Another character sheet This one is designed to be filled out and printed. It uses the format (more or less) of the prerelease characters from KotS, which I really liked (powers up front, stats toward the back).

    Slight Variation on Ranger

Well if *I* was your DM, given that the change is for aesthetic reasons rather than trying to get yourself some kind of mechanical advantage, I would think it would be just fine. I guess you are getting off more cheaply in terms of equipment, but that seems pretty insignificant. Your DMs...

    Multi-classing: thrill me

Eyebite seems a more natural fit with a Rogue frankly...

    Retainers, henchmen, hirelings and redshirts?

The problem is that it is tremendously imbalanced, and it has always been. DnD has always revolved around the PCs though. Anything that had to do with running an army or an empire was always either an afterthought or an entirely separate book. "Because that's how things used to be" is exactly...

    Cure Light Wounds: Nearly Useless?

OK, but total HPs are not the whole story. CLW allows to to heal the (presumably) *important* HPs (i.e. the ones from the striker/wizard who is being ganged up on).

    Shuriken/Daggers: Rogue AOE Fail

I will houserule it personally (I had already assumed it worked this way). If anything it makes more sense that someone might be able to pull out a bunch of daggers/shurikens at once and throw them than to load and fire a crossbow a bunch of times in 6 seconds.

    D&D 4E 4e and save or dies.

Yes by all means they should toss their brand equity out the window. Wizards, and then Hasbro spent money for the right to call their product Dungeons and Dragons. If you don't like what they've done in 4e, there is enough published 3/3.5 stuff (plus more coming in Pathfinder) to keep you...

    Another Character Sheet Option

I'm probably fighting a losing battle here, but I don't see why the powers are all buried on the second page. Powers are the thing you will reference most often. I'd rather see them on the front page. You have 5 slots for "attacks", but you really only need 2 (for melee and ranged basic). Looks...

    Intimidate during Combat

Its also a way for players to stop combat and start shaking down monsters for information. Could it be abused? Sure, but 4e seems to put a lot of faith in the DM to make rulings about what makes sense. This is a nice mechanic to have in a situation where PCs want to beat some people up and get...

    D&D 4E UPDATED 6/20/08! kiznit's 4e Fold-over Character Sheet w/ Cards

Right. Easier to design, but usually when I'm doing my character design, I'm working off scratch paper anyway. For me I'm looking for something useful as I'm actually playing.
