i think the beast companions are better used supporting your ranger. The +2 to attack flanking bonus is nice. Your ranger will do WAY more damage then your pet. The pets provide the attack bonus and a bit of utility for certain situations.

If you have ever played wow, try to think of temp hp as a priest shield. Highest shield is the only one you get, no stacking.

ya i gotcha on the daily thing. The group im runnning was mainly all strikers / healer. Now one switched to the controller and i read his powers ahead of time, but not until we played did i see the power of the daily. Im coming up with some creative ideas but, just was hoping to hear someting...

any suggestions besides ranged attacks on how to deal with a wizard that plops this down right on top of a group of mobs from a dm's perspective? I have a wizard in my group now and I have to readjust my tactics a bit due to his controlling abilities.

Ya you hit it on the head there. I have a new player who chose the barbarian route. His charge attacks at will alone are very powerful. That's why i was wondering about the rule on it. Rules are rules, ill have to get creative on him when i need to.

im running into some of the same problems this week with charging. My guys started to shift one square out of OA range, then charge a differant oppenent. The only thing that i startd doing is using my mobs in the same fashion. I may have to apply the eye for an eye tatic.

sorry if this is a repeat. A charge attack is considered a standard action. The mechanics read that it is okay to still charge even if you are dazed. I found it kind of lame that a dazed character could maintain the ability to pull something off like that while dazed. Am i missing...

if i was dming this situation with a garagantuan thing, i would have to say probably no. If the hero attempting this had a ton of str / athletics, had some sort of magical effect from an item / buff, and rolled 2-3 consecutive 20's, then i might let him / her push a gargantuan dragon / thing...

have to agree with you there on the release of books. Be nice if they released a complete product. I really never liked how wotc did many books at seperate times.
