I rename it to Echoing Blade in my games. You strike someone with it and if they move they get hit with an echo of your attack. It just has a bad name and description, but the concept is solid.
I would say the most druidic spell school would probably be transmutation.
Your subclass choice really depends on how many levels they plan on taking in Wizard.
I would probably take either School of Transmutation or Order of the Scribes.
With Transmutation you would be able to turn iron armor...
I find using the monster stat block except for your Int/Wis/Cha to be easier than calculating a new AC, adding temp HP, using part of a creatures stat block for your stats but not all of its abilities, some exceptions may apply. That is more confusing to me.
I recently bought Tomb of Annihilation in hardcover (full size map) and on D&D Beyond to allow my legally blind father to play on a tablet using the Beyond app as the backlight makes it easier for him to see than a paper sheet. I think that's all I've bought since Fizban's.
Ok I guess we can agree to disagree here as I’m not a fan of this design and if you are maybe this product is for you not me.
I had hoped that WotC was going to pull through with a product I would like to purchase but I’m not too keen on their continued inelegant design decisions.
I understand that the old spells could slow down the game if you are summoning a bunch of creatures and that it needed to be changed, but I disagree that this is the way to fix it. It should still conjure a creature not some aoe dissociated effect.
I guess I just see this as the wrong way to fix the problem. Does the Druid really need more aoe concentration damage spells? I was really happy with the last few UAs and they just keep taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back for me. I don't need to summon a bunch of low CR monsters but at least...
While that’s good, I’m perplexed why they would make these spells at all. They don’t actually conjure a creature as their names imply (and all of their older version have done). I feel like this is 5e but with disassociated mechanics. It’s like chill touch but worse.
I didn't realize I wanted a PDK/Cavalier mashup until it was mentioned here. I would be cool with this as the fourth Fighter subclass or Rune Knight.

I would agree with this as I feel it is representative of my experience. I don’t mention my distaste for 4e even though I have extensive experience with it. I played it when it first came out. I bought all the books even the essentials line (this is where I began to like the design more, but...
