My group is looking for an additional person or two for our tabletop gaming sessions. We meet most Saturdays at noon-5pm in south-west Bloomington (near Eden Prairie and Shakopee). We are currently playing a homebrew D&D 5th edition campaign, but we do like to explore other game systems...
Theatre of the Mind Combat in 4ESubmitted by Uskglass 3 years ago
This is an adaptation of a relative proximy zone, ToTM stylem combat system (as seen in WFRPG 3e and 13th Age) to D&D 4E. It can be used as replacement of grid combat, but since it doesn't change the basic stats and numbers of 4E...
Paradox can't do any worse than CCP did. I never would have imagined the outcome of CCP's acquisition of White Wolf, but seeing as how CCP seems to have a record for making poor business decisions I guess it isn't too surprising.
More than half of the article is devoted to converting characters....something that I'm sure very few players will be making use of. It was placed first in the article which seems like it was given more importance than adventure conversion...strange.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you are reading these books because you intend to use the setting material or game mechanics for the RPG games that you do play. If you never played a single RPG in your life and you never intended to in the future, would you still enjoy reading these...
"So I’m always surprised, and a little dismayed, when RPGs are left out of the popular discussion about books and reading." Well, the first thing is that there is only one RPG that can be considered anywhere near popular. The second reason is that most people do not buy these books to simply...
I'm pretty excited about this product, but $70 just to qualify for Kickstarter exclusives and stretch goals (which have not even been revealed yet), seems a bit high. I wish the PDF reward tier had the stretch goals as well.
Yeah, I agree with you on the lack of material for non-spellcasters. I tend to shy away from using spellcasters so it's a bit disappointing to see nothing new for those classes. As for the races, it seems that the PHB covered all of the basic races so I would expect any additional ones to be a...
