If WotC really really wants to fix this poisoned well and win D&D fanbase's favor back it should first fully acknowledge its mistake (none of that "this was a draft", "we also win" bs), adhere to Paizo's ORC initiative and contribute with 5e/5.5's SRD to it.

I'm sure every 3PP will be able to adhere to ORC while defining their own Product Identity Environment 😉
