    [Ro3 5/15] Traits? lol wut?

i personally don't like this - it will force people to have certain types of characters when in previous editions it was entirely up to the player....

    D&D 5E 5E: Pick Your Poison

problem is that you don't actually need "specialised equipment", just the poison to put on your blade, however that poison might not last very long as it slowly drips off your sword with every second and every attack, also an arrow can be poisoned, as you would only use it once...

Please step away from the 4th edition "effect everything" abilities.

smite "evil" is because the paladin usually serves a god, however it would only apply to what his god doesn't like, so it doesn't work on servents of bahumut if you are a paladin of bahumut, but if you are a paladin of tiamut go ahead and let your greed get the better of you, or tiamut won't...

    weapon sizes

the enemy may have a very large weapon that is (almost) impossible to weild or they may run after the battle OR the sword may be cursed for those who weild it if the weapon wasn't given willingly(every evil villian worth their salt will do something like this just in case the heroes succeed in...

    weapon sizes

and i do not see why your characters are evil aligned and steal money - they would need to have the weapon custom forged by a blacksmith so stealing it is not possible and the money would eventually be found anyway(so what if they are a little stronger then the monsters because they got a really...

    weapon sizes

The main idea is that some weapons are completely and utterly opsolete so no-one uses scythes(a well made one can be more effective than a sword so it doing 1d6 no matter what is kinda stupid) and the fact that you cannot ACTUALLY weild a short sword as a cleric is stupid AS IN WHY THE HELL CAN...

    weapon sizes

and also you are allowed to create a "unique weapon" where you can decide the weapon type and subtype and everything else is up to you(if you the dm) for say eg. a boss where the weapon is called slashender and stats are blade:subclass glaive: normal2, 2d10 damage, reach, is also a polearm AND...

    weapon sizes

yes you will have to give each weapon type a modified weapon size based on that (also based on the price) as a unique blade may have a weapon size intended for small characters to weild in one hand but it may have a damage value similar to that which a normal sized character can weild in TWO...

    Time for an all-pixie campaign

well i just posted my weapon sizes house rules in the 4e house rules section so if Goliaths ARE large they get the extra weapon sizes (and it deals with some of the weird rules regarding weapon sizes for small characters)

    weapon sizes

I have some special rules about weapon sizes as certain two handed weapons shouldn't be. the weapon sizes work like this where the small, normal, etc. above the damage field represents character size, this increases for each 2 weapon sizes, if you make an action with a weapon size greater than...

    Time for an all-pixie campaign

don't goliaths get an additional weapon size (so more damage from their weapon) due to them being large.

    Do you hate wish-lists too?

i will not use wish lists instead the character can go to a magic shop to disenchant an item for say 50GP(or maybe 10% of the crafting materials value) then they get the enchanting materials back (with a value equal to that which you can find in the magic items value minus the plain weapon...

Skill-linked monsters (defeated by skill checks)

nice but just remember to only let them do it when it makes sense and do not make it TOO powerful BUT YOU CAN MAKE IT RUIN AN ENEMIES DAY EVERY SO OFTEN.
  14. D

Skill-linked monsters (defeated by skill checks)

you could also have monsters that need you to do a skill check first eg. a barrior blocks attacks so the players figure out that they need to make an arcane check to beat up a boss (in the example of minions the arcane check affects all of them) but this is for when you need to make a battle tough.

    A new spin on rituals

that may work - it may also be a good idea to make certain rituals un-gettable(as some are overpowered) and let the caster use an action point instead also make the cost proportional to level - below lv 5 it costs 1, below lv15 it costs 2 and lv 30 and below costs 3 for the first ritual(to stop...
