D&D 5E Why do Sorcerers have so few spells compared to other full Casters

Alas, that seems to be the theme they designed (restricted) sorcerers around; wizards get refined, complex magic like summons and magical houses, whle sorcerers are stuck with unrefined...everything else. If it has any level of complexity or sophistication, they do get it. I honestly feel that...

D&D 5E Why do Sorcerers have so few spells compared to other full Casters

I've recent;y created a wild mage for an upcoming game, and my DM converted the wild magic spells from the old 2e Tome of Magic books. Better still, she's giving them to my character as bonus spells. Perhaps take a look at that book, if you can find it. It has fun stuff.

D&D 5E Not liking Bounded Accuracy

I like Bounded Accuracy, for the most part. Except for two things: Saving throws and skill checks I *really* dislike that if you aren't proficient in a save or skill, you have no ways of improving your chances at doing something. Especially if your DM doesn't allow feats in the game. The idea...

    Suffering from gaming withdrawal :(

Due to conflicting schedules, my group hasn't been able to meet up for gaming for a few months, and this is likely to continue. I'm starting to experience that awful twitch. Not being able to do any gaming is driving me bonkers. :-S Anybody ever experienced this?

New SCAG Info: Someone Got The Book

Agreed. The only class lower than the sorcerer is the ranger. Really, I wish more thought had been put into the sorcerer. It's just so strange to me that the so-called natural born magical genius is the worst full caster.

New SCAG Info: Someone Got The Book

What irks me is that by taking away bonus spells, they've chosen to let the class stay underpowered, rather than doing anything to improve it. There was enough of an out cry that they presented to archtypes with bonus spells. And now that it's all said and done, they just shrug and say, "too...

New SCAG Info: Someone Got The Book

Pretty much this. I had all of my spell choices carefully selected to play the character I desired to play. Now, with the removal of the bonus spells, I can't match the concept. If I can't actually use my magic to call up storms or lightning or conjure air elementals, then I see no point in...

New SCAG Info: Someone Got The Book

Well shoot. I guess I'll be retiring my storm sorcerer character once the book comes out. :/

    D&D 5E Is stoneskin underpowered?

My opinion? It's a garbage spell, something I would never cast. And for those saying that concentration isn't a big deal, I envy your ability to shrug off those saves. I've had terrible luck passing those saves, to the point that I retired the character because I was losing most of my spells...

    What is a hybrid warlock?

D&D 5E Warlocks and high level play

Well, the Favored Soul averages two or three hp less per level than a fighter. If I were going to role one up and was looking just for numbers, I'd pick a Hill Dwarf for the extra one hp per level, and then get the Tough feat once I hit fourth level. That would roughly get a Favored Soul on par...

D&D 5E Warlocks and high level play

But wouldn't that same logic hold true for any high level adventure? If all of the Big Bads have defenses like Tiamut or the Big T, aren't warlocks in particular going to be boned unless they happen to be bladelocks? As someone who has no interest in Path of the Blade, that's a little...

D&D 5E Warlocks and high level play

Wow... that sucks. Invest in a sturdy crossbow? Do they design these adventures to make the casters useless?
