    Demons, Silence and Teleport.

Yep. The Innate spellcasting part is clear. It is the abilities listed under actions which are somewhat LIKE spells which I wondered about.

    Demons, Silence and Teleport.

Thanks for the reply. There are a lot of abilities under actions which are fuzzy on if they are spells or not (or treated that way). Things with saves too, so you don't know if your character has, say, advantage against spell effects, you don't know if they apply to these uncategorised...

    Demons, Silence and Teleport.

In the monster manual, there are sections where monsters have Innate spellcasting, which I understand. As an example, have a look at a Marilith demon. What i am trying to figure out is the nature of some of the abilities under 'Actions', such as Teleport. My understanding of Innate spellcasting...

    D&D 5E Multiclass: Warlock / Bard - thoughts?

My bard warlock has an Instrument of the Bards (disadvantage to foes saving throws against charm), and Rod of the Pactkeeper, which in this case makes saves versus charms at +2 difficulty. Suffice to say Bard/warlocks are horrendous for foes to resist. Suggestions and charms just tear enemy...

    D&D 5E Multiclass: Warlock / Bard - thoughts?

I have found the combination of Pact of the chain familiar (Warlock), and the polymorph spell (4th level spells Bard). You can turn your familiar into a giant eagle with 8 intelligence. Great steed. Then of course you have the various Bear options, and it can multiattack.

D&D 5E Dual hand crossbows, poison and hex warlock

I can load a hand crossbow, whilst holding another one in my other hand. It isn't impossible. It is now very practical either :) I don't think too much 'real world' hassle should impinge on a fantasy game though. If a monk can run at extraordinary speed in a fantasy game, but obviously can not...

Yes, one dose of poison does 3 bolts, or one melee weapon.

D&D 5E Dual hand crossbows, poison and hex warlock

Thanks. I have had a read on the milking rules. I think there is no reason an Imp can't be milked but a carrion crawler can. The 'incapacitated ' part is quite odd. If it is willing to share venom, why have to tie it up? Certainly it would be limited in how often it could be milked. Once per...

D&D 5E Dual hand crossbows, poison and hex warlock

You think Imp poison can't be used? I figured most poisons last a while. When looking at the poison rules, the basic poison lasts 1 minute after you take it out of the jar. Venom from most creatures is dangerous for a while. Certainly it is something a Dm needs to judge, but I think players...

D&D 5E Dual hand crossbows, poison and hex warlock

Hi, I am hoping someone can confirm I can, or perhaps should, be able to do the following? Warlock Drow at level 5. -A hand crossbow in each hand, attacking twice in a round, using Crossbow expert feat. -Has pact of the chain with an Imp familiar. -Take the poison from the Imp, or have the...
