My first D&D game came during the Regan years when I was in elementary school. It wasn't viewed fondly in our household, so my friends and I made up our own games to fly under the radar. I played AD&D off and on after college, both 2nd edition and 3.5. Haven't played at all in about three or four years. Not interested in 4th edition, probably not interested in Pathfinder. Career and family obligations now limit the amount of time I have to commit to a weekly campaign. Plus I'm in a more remote location now, and I don't know if I could find the type of game that I'm looking for locally. My previous frustrations have typically been with the focus more on roll playing than roleplaying in most of the groups that I gamed with. I'm curious if an online game could address both of the concerns that have kept me away for this time. But I have no idea how they could work, so I'm here to find out.
