Well, I've been gaming since 1998, and love most rp systems that I have tried, but I do have a particular disdain for systems that focus so heavily on combat that they are really just tactical minis games (4ed), games that are needlessly complicated (Heroes), and games with no rules what-so-ever. I'm a huge fan of White Wolf's New World of Darkness and Paizo's Pathfinder, and also hold a special place in my heart for the now defunct West End Games DC Universe RPG and the now defunct Wizards of the Coast Alternity game system. I'm also a big fan of Planescape, Ebberon, Dark Sun, Ravenloft, and Spelljammer. I think the more unconventional it is, the more I love it.
