EN World is 20 Years Old!

Been around since the begining and gald to see things are still rolling after all these years. I am less around as I am mostly playing Savage Worlds these days, but still take a peek every once in a while. Keep playing, keep writing, keep it fun!

    Do You Read This News?

I have been a reader of EN World since the time of Eric Noah's D&D page. While I used the forum for a long time, I have found over the years conversations tend to repeat themselves. The forums do not grab my attention these days. The news page is another matter. I tend to read it daily. It is...

    Problem with the shopping section

Hi Morrus, I just wanted to double check if you had any news about the problem outlined above. I tried once again today to download the file and got the same result : a blank page and no download. I tried using both Firefox and Internet Explorer. With IE, I got an HTTP 500 error, if that helps...

    Problem with the shopping section

I just purchased the Zeitgeist primer pack. The shopping section went through all the puchasing steps and accepted my paypal payment. However, when I click on the download button at the end, it sends me to what seems a blank page at http://www.enworld.org/forum/vbcart.php. Am I doing something...

The Crapification of Organized Play - Unavoidable?

That may be the case, but before I went on hiatus on PFS for personal reasons, I played through years 0 through part of year 2. During that time I lost two character to death. That is more than what I get in my usual home games. Mind you I lost both of them to the same GM... That might be part...

Pathfinder 1E My thoughts on the Pathfinder Beginner Box

Actually, in my case, that's about 90% of my gaming experience which started in th early 1980's! :)

    1-on-1 Scenarios

I played on of them a few years ago and enjoyed it. They are usually well written. I have the Patfinderised version. Although I have noticed a few errors in the adaptation (wrong skills, a few calculation errors), the inherent compatibility of Pathfinder with 3.5 makes these mistakes minors. I...

Core Books - What are they?

My definition of Core = Core rulebook + Bestiary. The rest is options and are allowed on a case by case basis. The APG, GMG, Bestiary II, the Utlimates are all sources of customization of the game. They are means to an end and by no means essential in running a fun game.

    A Question About Foreign RPGs

French versions of the game have pretty much always used the metric system. As to why would someone use the metric instead of the imperial system ? I would guess that it is easier for those used to the metric system to relate to the measurements presented in that system instead of constantly...

That is what I did with my oldest.

Pathfinder 1E Is 8 years old too young for Pathfinder?

I've played a couple of games with my son who just turned 6. He does get the concept of "greater than" and "lesser than" and he's able to add and substract a few bonuses. He's pretty imaginative and has had a few great ideas of what to do and what to try in basic dungeons. I kept the character...
