    Total eclipse 2024 plans?

I was lucky enough to go to Gen Con and then drive into KY the day after to see that eclipse in 2017, that was life-changing. I'm hopeful that we'll have clear skies for this one. We're staying in a campground on Sunday and hoping to luck out on Monday before trying to get home.

WotC Hasbro CEO optimistic about AI in D&D and MTG’s future

It's funny, there's a use for this AI stuff, but its not what he's thinking (and I'm sure it's not what Perkins would use it for). We have a campaign log, and I sprinkle in letters from bad guys, and other lore docs into my players occasionally. We use Google's inference engine for Google Docs...

This dropped this morning. Evil Genius Games In light of the allegations, this defense does not help. Terrible letter.

The Rise And Fall Of Evil Genius Games

I know of them for two reasons: 1) They got on my radar because of the Kickstarter and the properties they had signed deals for in that first round of Cinematic adventures, though I did not back the first one. (I don't back many kickstarters from startups or unknown groups, if that explains...

The Rise And Fall Of Evil Genius Games

Agreed, I was planning on volunteering to run some Org Play games at Origins, I had a lot of fun playing in their OP games at Origins last year, and was debating writing my own for a local con this fall. Not so sure I'll do either now.

The Rise And Fall Of Evil Genius Games

I agree. Up until late November, one would assume that they were on track for nearly everything, they were shipping the last product of their first kickstarter, and honestly there were no visible speedbumps on their second kickstarter, they had announced a new organized play program, and a...

The Rise And Fall Of Evil Genius Games

Man, all of the promise of having an Urban Arcana like book for 5E just feels gone now. Certainly gives me pause in funding them for any kickstarter for Military Heroes for sure (I wasn't sure why they were going for that rather than diving into Urban Arcana....)

D&D 1E Forgotten Realms in AD&D 1st Edition a better setting for adventures?

It's one of those books where the development occurred during the 1E days as it has zero references to the transitional events from the Time of Troubles, so I consider it a 1E book.

D&D 1E Forgotten Realms in AD&D 1st Edition a better setting for adventures?

I'm running a Pathfinder Campaign using the 'Old Empires' Sourcebook from 1E, just started 5 weeks ago, so there a lot of us still using this old stuff.

What RPG do you most regret parting with?

Most of my Dark Sun splatbooks from the mid 90s. Kept the big boxed sets and flip modules, but not stuff like the Veiled Alliance and Ivory Triangle. Still kinda bummed about that.

D&D General Baldur's Gate 3 will now be releasing August 3rd on PC and September 6th on PS5, increased level cap, race & class details and more

Yeah, I lost out on Wyll because I missed him and went right to the next main plot point, came back and he was gone. Was pretty sure I missed out on Gale too, but I restarted with a new character to be sure I got all of my companions I wanted.

How do YOU decide what to run?

We've been running a lot of shorter campaigns since we finished a 2 year long Strahd game (4-6 months, maybe 12-18 sessions each). We have a running list of 6-8 one paragraph pitch notes that people can choose, and we've been pretty much going with majority rules when one game ends and...
