The iOS native app certainly won't, but you may have better luck with the web app at iplay4e.com - I believe the Nook is Android-based, and the site works fine on Android.

The hover event is intended as a visual indicator that you're hovering in the right place - especially for those "powers" like "Walk 6 Squares" that aren't in a colored box.
Expansion of the conditions functionality is on the roadmap.
