The only major "difference" I see is that technically the "Class Edge" is more powerful than a "standard" edge. I believe in the live-stream the devs did, they mentioned that if you 'skipped' a "Class Edge" in building a Novice character, it would be about equal to 2 edges - which after...
For anyone that is interested ... the preview (who if they stay like PF wizards, have access to all spells) has the wizard clocking in at 64 spells currently (10 over the base 54 in SWADE).

My impression is that every class gets Skill Feats regularly. Be definition this would give the option for the Fighter to progress in non-combat options. Especially when combined with the newly defined downtime system (assuming its as good as reported to date).

Actually after the guard example discussed above (Level 15 Guard), I would assume that a 40 year veteran blacksmith is probably more likely a Level 15+ Blacksmith. So I assume we can expect that NPCs will have "levels" in some form of NPC/Professional Class style system.
