Wanted some advice on my party makeup. I am joining a party that has a ranger, sorcerer, and a barbarian. I think being a paladin would be useful to the party (and I would like to try the new Oath of Conquest), but the inner Dnd player in me is telling me to play a cleric. Any advice? Thanks!

So I should use a shield and a battleaxe over a greataxe? I figured with unarmored defense I could get away with a greataxe to really use the brutal critical once that level is reached.
