    D&D 5E (2024) Need a recommendation for polymorphing enemies

If the t-rexes the OP is intending to transform his party into still count as friendly, then yes.

    D&D 5E (2024) Need a recommendation for polymorphing enemies

Picking up a hostile creature requires, at the very least, an attack action to grapple. And which teleportation spell are you using to take an unwilling creature with you?

That's becoming a lot of actions to maintain a purely temporary debuff of a group of enemies.

    Chocolate and _____?

Is that a confection or a crime scene?

Whales aren't fish, so they don't need to hold their breath. I think it was more the trout example that was being called out.

Killer whale? Nasty attack, but only 5 ft walking speed and 90 hp. Alternatively, throw in a bag of rats and cast it on them to turn them into T-Rexes, then wait while they fight it out with the bad guys and go in afterwards.

D&D General What do you like about Eberron?

Just a shame that it somehow managed to fall victim to the "all dwarves are the same" trope. Even between the Aurum, the dragonmarked house and the subterranean lost civilisation, there's still little to distinguish them from dwarves of other settings, a rare miss for this setting.

It's dragons all the way down. :)

D&D General What do you like about Eberron?

Eberron's unique planar cosmology also appeals to me. I like the idea that it's not assumed to be part of a wider multiverse, and having the planes "orbit" the material plane in such a way that their effects can be more keenly felt upon the world at certain times opens up new possibilities for...

    Homebrew Homebrew: Fixing the Rogue

It sounds a bit unwieldy to me. Would you still require both rolls to hit to trigger sneak attack damage on a critical hit?

D&D General What do you like about Eberron?

That's another thing I really like about the setting, it has a sense of progress. Many established settings have been in medieval stasis for centuries, and there's a sense that the most powerful magics are those of a lost age, but in Eberron there's a sense of forward progression, and great and...

D&D General Exhaustion levels *before* death saves

Assuming you're using the 2014 exhaustion rules, running away will be tricky once they hit level 2 exhaustion. And the exhaustion effects are a bit weird in this context. For purposes of a first level character who is actually staying in the fight rather than escaping, levels 1, 2 and 4...

D&D General What do you like about Eberron?

Distant gods. Religion plays a strong part in every culture, but direct divine intervention just doesn't really happen, making religion a matter of faith rather than fact. "PCs are special." Back when it was first released and there were actual NPC classes, it was rare to see an NPC with a PC...

    General star wars talk/discussion/complaining

It's also a genre you need to be in the mood for, though, and maybe wasn't the right show to either introduce or showcase a new setting.
