    Let's talk about Doomsday Dawn

Played through the first adventure and my four players did just fine. Three people dropped, no one was in danger of dying though. They took one long rest (or whatever its called). It felt pretty bang on. Although I will say that some fights may feel very different if initiative rolls went...

Pathfinder 2E Here's The Pathfinder 2nd Edition Skill List!

I believe there are 4 spell lists now. Arcane, Divine, Occultism and Primal. Presumably Occultism is for that list of spells (as in identification, etc).

Pathfinder 2's Critical Hits & Failures! Plus Save-or-Suck and Damage On A Miss!

I see you have preconceived notions on this. I disagree, so let’s agree to disagree and move on. :)

Pathfinder 2's Critical Hits & Failures! Plus Save-or-Suck and Damage On A Miss!

Actually there has been some indication of reigning in modifiers if you read the comments at end of their blogs. The designers provide quite a bit of additional tidbits this way. For example, they have mentioned that no bonuses of the same type stack. There were a few bits about the max prof...

Pathfinder 2's Critical Hits & Failures! Plus Save-or-Suck and Damage On A Miss!

I agree this is possible and I certainly understand every group has its unique dynamic. Heck, even my group can be quick to pass judgement. I think a DM also has to be a moderator in addition to all the other things they need to be. Sort of, “guys let’s give this a chance before we pass...

Pathfinder 2's Critical Hits & Failures! Plus Save-or-Suck and Damage On A Miss!

A bit off topic but for those who didn’t see the Friday Paizo stream it was mentioned that the Monday blog will be about goblin ancestry which should give us more insight to how ancestry will work in PF2. On topic, I think many of the concerns raised in the thread will prove to not be an...

Pathfinder 2's Critical Hits & Failures! Plus Save-or-Suck and Damage On A Miss!

The complaining is getting worse by the article. Particularly by those who misunderstand the rules.

Pathfinder 2E Paizo's Stephen Radney-MacFarland Previews The Rogue Class For Pathfinder 2nd Edition!

Charlaquin, you could very well be right. For the moment, I'm of the opinion that the more interesting things for the rogue are still to come. I also think the 3 action system will make things more interesting for the rogue than at first glance.

Pathfinder 2E Paizo's Stephen Radney-MacFarland Previews The Rogue Class For Pathfinder 2nd Edition!

Depends if you are asking in PF1 or PF2. In PF1, it was like an AC but without your dex bonus (and there may be more but I haven't played PF in a while). In PF2, I believe it provides a +2 bonus to hit (it might be a -2 to AC), but either way it is a bonus of 2.

Pathfinder 2E Paizo's Stephen Radney-MacFarland Previews The Rogue Class For Pathfinder 2nd Edition!

I think a few things are happening here. First, Paizo got ripped for going pretty far with the fighter. I think they consciously showed components of the Rogue that are familiar to appease the players that were freaking out about the fighter. Second, one method of making higher level play...

Pathfinder 2E Game Modes, Bestiaries, and Death in Pathfinder 2nd Edition

That’s how I understand it too Charlaquin. The few very minor differences that do exist are an improvement on the 5e model IMO.

Pathfinder 2E Game Modes, Bestiaries, and Death in Pathfinder 2nd Edition

I find the new terms (strike and stride) a bit jarring too. However, I believe this is part of the conscious effort to clean up terminology. The words Attack and move are often used for non-game terminology reasons. Strike has the same intent as attack but likely won’t see use unless they...

Pathfinder 2E Game Trade Media playtest video

It was officially talked about somewhere (I can’t recall where) that Slowed 1 would cause you to lose 1 action. Slowed 2 would be two actions lost, etc.

It was also clarified that you can't split the movement of a single action around other actions. So, if you move 10 feet and then want to open a door and then continue moving another 20 feet, that would require 3 actions instead of 2. I'm a little disappointed to hear this, but its probably...
