Not the best one of their resource books yet but that does not mean it is not great. The stuff they have released so far is Amazing and Rivendell matches that quality of other books. Just not quite as good as the Darkening of Mirkwood which in my mind is the best...
Okay so you like second edition and THAC0. I am sure that you can find hundreds of books by TSR maybe even thousands that support the game. It seems like you have no need of fourth editiion and are not even a 3.5/PF devotee.
