If I were Rothfuss, I'd refuse to write the next book just to spite all the people who can't keep themselves from bringing it up. (This coming from someone who has read the first two, and is looking forward to the next.)
"Turnstile" doesn't make a lot of sense for Gen Con, since there is no record of when you come and go. If you leave for lunch or don't, they won't know. They only track tickets for events, and security looks at your badge to make sure you belong. So unless they're doing some abstract counting of...
Thanks to Morrus and BookBarbarian for the comments. I'll have to read the AiME books, and see how I feel... see whether I think low-magic can be done in 5e at all. High magic certainly does seem baked in by default, and that may be quite difficult to overcome for people who want "D&D". If it is...
Thanks for this blog post! I picked up the Adventures in Middle-Earth Player's Guide and Loremaster book this weekend at Gencon on a whim, mostly because I want a strong low-magic setting and that seems impossible using the player's handbook (without disappointing nearly every player at the...
skerritthegreen Thank you for the information. If a person buys the softcover (once its available), does it come with the PDF? Similarly, if one buys the PDF will there be a discount on the softcover? Is the pricing of the POD known? I'm very interested in this!
Awesome roundup, thanks! I really look forward to these weekly updates already; though I'm a week behind so I'll have to decide whether or not I want spoilers each week.
Are these the official portraits of the characters or fan art? I don't see any credit anywhere; did I miss it?
Too bad...
Awesome! Very much looking forward to this.
I'm one of the people who use the Amazon/Twitch Prime free subscribe to watch the show. I can't stay up late enough to watch the show live, but I can watch it the next day or over the weekend through the archive video on the Twitch Geek & Sundry...
I think most 5e tables don't play by strict 5e rules. Every table I've played at has done things differently. Sometimes in major ways, sometimes in minor ways, sometimes both.
For people who bought into their first Game Tiles Kickstarter, you might want to check out the matching LED and Magnetic walls. They have an add-on for traps that stick to the walls, and for pit traps, as well as sweet double doors. There's quite a few decent relatively small add-ons that can...
Dwarven Forge is out with it's fifth Kickstarter, this time DUNGEON OF DOOM!
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dwarvenforge/dungeon-of-doom-handcrafted-game-terrain-by-dwarve
This is a return to KS1 and KS2 style pieces, with a variety of fancy options for traps, terrain, and other such...
They are voice actors, so my assumption is that they are simply providing the voices, and that the decisions on how things are pronounced are not happening with them. I haven't seen any specification on this, either way.
