    Whatever happened to Spycraft?

I play Spycraft, having only gotten into it towards the end of v1. I don't play as often as I like as 1 group plays nearly exclusively D&D & CoC, while the other we alternate GM's and interspace with wargames - meaning it takes an age to come round to do something once you've got an idea. But I...

How do these ideas fix Power Attack?

Personally I like Power Attack - the only thing I did do for a game was essentially give it to everyone free. Basically allowing them to choose to put their BAB on Attack or Damage.

    Point of Light

Forgotton Realms can hardly be described as sancrosanct anyway - it's been through so many changes, and still always ends up being pretty much the same anyway. Personally I might actually look at the setting again if they wiped out the uber-npcs (especially Drizzt)

    Spycraft 2: Grammaton Cleric

Some name changes, but essentially nothings changed. I'd use the Sweeper as it has a cleaned up 10th level ability that you'll get some use out of.

    Spycraft 2: Grammaton Cleric

It's now the 'Sweeper' and slated for Farthest Star... Sweeper Many organization (and nations) in the Human Expanse maintain cadres of professional enforcers, dedicated to preserving the prominence and power of their sponsors. These sweepers are both investigator and executioner, entrusted with...

Who is more bothered by the whole per-encoutner thing?

After last session (1st ed actually) where we went down a corridor, triggered a trap and then had to retreat back the surface to rest (literally about 10 minutes IC & OOC) I'm all for per-encounter abilities. And I mostly play non-spellcasters, but only due to a disatisfaction with the magic...

    Canada portrayed negatively in games?

I love some of the almost comical ways England is portrayed in RPG's, Movies, Books etc. We seem to stuck in the victorian era for a lot of them.

    Fantasy craft??? will you bother?

I think what would be helpful would be a cheap "lite" version. Boil down SC to it's bare essentials. With the SC2.0 book being so crunchy it would be hard to boil down, but you could drop quite a bit and still have a playable game. Advocate, Explorer, Hacker, Sleuth & Snoop could be dropped...

    Fantasy craft??? will you bother?

Pretty sure I'll end up getting both. Unless one or the other misses where I expect them to go, I think I'll end up using D&D4E for a 'kiddie/lighthearted game' with my young nephew and when the other groups just want to do chill out games, and FantasyCraft when I try and run a serious campaign...

    Opinions sought: Much younger players?

As far as I'm concerned, 16 is old enough to do what they please. I wouldn't be concerned about my language with people who are old enough to have sex (legally, at least where I live - not sure about the American legalities). I play in two groups, in one, we have 18 to near 50 (though I'm not...

D&D 4E Mearls on 4E being computer game: "It's more like online poker."

Errr, Isn't D&D Online a MMoRPG? It was when I played it, though I only subscribed for about 3 months, then went back to City of Heroes.

Would anyone prefer spellcasting to stay as it is?

I was under the impression that it was heading towards a wizard/warlock hybrid. With some weak powers that are usable at will, but the actual spells working roughly as they do now...

Paladin + Monk + Druid + Sorcerer: a good party?

I find it slightly annoying that the campaign was stated as being core+Ptolus and people quickly start adding stuff from the Complete series to the mix. Personally I don't hold with parties requiring a particular mix, we've run with massive gaps in the party before, as long as the GM can at...

    Spycraft 2.0 -> d20 Modern

Beg to differ, I find Spycraft superior for running nearly any type of campaign. The only real limit is the gear system, and to me that just represents a different way of thinking rather than a flaw. SC2.0 was designed to be generic, and not just for spies. EDIT: Of course Spycraft was built...
