    Lewis and Clark style adventures

Ya, the Wilderlands (corrected the typo in the OP) setting seems to be material almost designed for this kind of stuff. That might be by go-to material since it was designed for DnD unlike Harn (which I have lots of material), but there isn't a lot of dungeon-crawl-type-fantasy material in.

    Lewis and Clark style adventures

I'm looking to start a Lewis & Clark style hex-crawl campaign where the adventurers are going to explore the Great Unknown (to them). Are there any published adventures (in stores or somewhere like rpgnow.com) that were built along this line? I don't have a ton of free time so poaching from the...

    Magic Weapons and Keyword Inheritance

Almost every time I see the phrase RAW invoked, its in an attempt to bypass or ignore the RAI of the ruie. That is to say, to invalidate the common interpretation with a strictly literal one. Can you imagine trying to play DnD with Amelia Beledia? /shudder

I think the OP-ness of Seal of Binding has already been established. =)

CustServ on "What is 'an attack'?"

One last followup before bed: Context is king in English. For example, I can call a male dog a "boy dog" and everyone would know what I mean. I can call my son a "boy" and everyone would know what I mean. If the dog and my son are next to see other and I tell you to throw a ball to the boy...

CustServ on "What is 'an attack'?"

I don't think that is true. Consider the following: Seal of Binding on Hopeless_Foe_01 Push/pull/slide/whatever foe into pit of lava Hopeless_Foe_01 dies. That doesn't seem absurd. If they wanted to make the target immune to all damage, they could've said just that.

CustServ on "What is 'an attack'?"

I do believe the target would take the damage from the Wall of Fire. By extension, something like Fiery Rebuke wouldn't add to the Wall of Fire since you're not hitting. The damage just *is*. Now I need to scroll up and see if I've reversed myself anywhere.... =) (edit) I don't think I've...

CustServ on "What is 'an attack'?"

The Elemental Maw is an Attack. It is used by the Wizard to make an attack. The attack is over. The Attack is still in effect. An Attack can attack more than once and can be used to make more than one attack (e.g. Flaming Sphere) I really can't explain it in any other way. If you want to know...

CustServ on "What is 'an attack'?"

Good question. Of course it says change the damage type dealt by the next arcane power you use to necrotic. Not, change the damage type dealt by the next attack. I would make the Hit and the Effect necrotic. I would make a Wall of Fire deal necrotic as well via the same principle.

CustServ on "What is 'an attack'?"

OK! So lets see... Its an attack, check. Against reflex, check. So you Evade and don't take the 1/2 damage nor do you grant CA, check. I think we're all in agreement so far? So the attack is over and you are in the AoE on your turn and blam! you take 1d10 and grant CA. Sounds right to me. Ask...

CustServ on "What is 'an attack'?"

Missed that, ok. Doesn't change my answer. See below. Well, actually the *power* says its an attack right in the header. I'm missing something: If you Evade the Elemental Maw, you aren't pulled. If you aren't pulled, how are you taking the Effect?

CustServ on "What is 'an attack'?"

Amen, Mistwell. That seems to be the pattern here and on the WotC boards.

CustServ on "What is 'an attack'?"

The attack was avoided. If you walk or are moved into the Effect, you're gonna eat the damage. So what you *really* meant to ask CSR was: Does the Effect of a Power still apply to someone that used Evasion to avoid damage from the Power's attack. To which I'm pretty sure they will say "Yes, you...

CustServ on "What is 'an attack'?"

Umm. Wow. So lemme guess. If you miss with Evard's Black Tentacles, Minions are immune to the sustain minor too? Haha.

What's "wrong" with Cloud of Daggers?
