Cave of the Seven Suns, Main Chamber

From the description that Evlar gave you, once you turn the corner, you head straight for the supposed center of the chamber in the darkness. Elvar keeps one hand on your shoulder to guide you in the pitch dark and eerie quiet of the chamber. Off in the distance you see a definite soft red glow and something is definitely cutting off its complete faintly glowing form - what ever that may be. You have no idea how far away it is, but at least you can see it as your only guiding beacon to move towards.

After a few quiet steps into the dark chamber you notice that if it were not for his hand on your shoulder, you would not even know Elvar was there. The elf clamps down on your shoulder and guides you down to a kneeling position and he whispers "There is someone else in here besides the creatures in the back. Its behind a column not too far away from us. It seems to be a humanoid wearing all black and carrying a huge weapon. I think it thinks it might be hiding, but from the way it is hiding I am thinking that it cannot see in the darkness." You can feel Elvar smiling.

Felix jolts in surprise at the faint sound of the voice, cursing himself for moving. None of these creatures can speak,, he quietly thinks to himself. What could have made that sound? Mind racing, Felix considers his options. I can't run, otherwise I'd be out of here by now. Can't hide, they'll probably find me, and it would only delay the inevitable. One option left... Felix slowly gets to his feet, raises his mask, and readies his mace, trying to be as quiet as possible. He picks up a small stone as he rises, murmuring a few words and slowly retrieving a small piece of moss from his pouch. As he finishes the spell, he places his hand over most of the stone and light bursts forth from the small rock (light on the rock). The beam of light floods through the gap in his fingers, revealing a startled looking elf and a human, both armed. Better than those creatures, Felix thinks grimly. He quickly readies his weapon and slowly, calmly speaks to the two newcomers. "Friends or foes? Pick your answer carefully." Felix's golden eyes narrow, and his grip tightens on the mace.

Derin, startled by the dark, sinister-looking man looming over him, nearly falls over from shock, and, in a frenzied state, begins to force a whisper from under his breath, "For the moment lets just say we're the best of friends, now, stay quiet or else there wont be anything left of us to be enemies." And with that Derin spins back around trying to make out what the creatures are at the back of the room.

Cave of the Seven Suns: Main Chamber

[OOC: Map Attached, please keep carefull attention to what you want to do with your light source. ;) ]

Slivers of light pierce through the gaps in Felix's hands to bring about a small amount of light so that the three of you in the immediate area can kind of see parts of each other through the rays of light. Two humans and an elf, alone in a dark and forgotten crypt dedicated to the Elders of a long forgotten age.

Elvar relaxes his knocked bow, and eyes the dark clad and huge weapon wielding, masked, humanoid before him. The elf raises one eyebrow and shrugs, looking to Derin. Behind the 'new' human you do notice a crimson and black statue of a quite large size which is mostly obscured in the darkness.

The harsh and yet soft sounds of rasping and groaning pull the three of you back into the moment; mortals violating the sanctity of the solitude of the creature filled Cave of the Seven Suns.

You can also see slivers of a huge apparatus in what may be the center of the chamber.

Felix relaxes his grip a bit. The threatening tone leaves his voice, and he begins to speak in a quick, low whisper. "Forgive me if I startled you. Introductions will have to wait, I am afraid that we have a far more important predicament to deal with. If those... things in the back are anything like the ones I encountered outside, they will not be friendly." Felix tightens his grip on the stone, leaving only a tiny sliver of radiance, barely enough to illuminate the newcomers. "I am terribly sorry, but I cannot trust you just yet. I'm sure you understand." He quickly turns his head to the elf and addresses him. "Elf, your vision surpasses mine. Do you have any idea what we may be up against?" Felix's ears pick up another moan, and he strains to look into the darkness, afraid to illuminate the area. "You two came in here with a plan, I hope. I certainly didn't."

Elvar looks at the newcomer rather unsure and eyballs Derin for a moment, stifling a wry smile, and shakes his head - no.

"Apologies not needed, but thanks. Alright." Derin whispers under his breath, a perplexed look about what can be seen of his face. "From the moaning and shuffling it's apparent that we're dealing with walkers. I can't tell how many, but there seems to be more than two. If we're looking for a plausible plan I suggest a distraction to pull the attention away from us, then we can assemble and deliver a quick blow to their ranks. Perhaps a glowing illusion of a man or small beast to illuminate and distract them?" Derin turns back looking for anything that might be approaching.

Cave of the Seven Suns: Main Chamber

Derin looks back in the darkness towards the entrance and he is greeted with naught but silence and pitch. Only the sound of your hushed voices, the slivers of light, and an occasional muted hissing or rasping from the other creatures in the cave that let you know that you are not alone in the darkness.

Elvar whispers "I can't perform the type of ensorclement you are suggesting, but perhaps I can provide and initial distraction. I might be able to sneak up on them from one side and attack them with my bow, and then you two could attack from another side... or perhaps I can find a higher vantage point on this apparatus in the center from which to fire my bow from to cover you as you engage... or I can try to find out more about what we are about to engage and then we can decide more ... or we can work our way along one side using these columns as cover... or...." He lets his rambling trail off and then looks to both of you.

Felix gives a slow nod. “Walkers, you say? Eerie beasts. I’m afraid that illusions are not my area of expertise. Elf, if you could distract them with your bow, I’m fairly sure I could engage one or two in close-quarters combat. And human… you have a power about you. I take it that you follow the path of magic?” Felix averts his gaze downward, and his voice takes on an apologetic tone. “I… understand… the pain you must have gone through. When the final threads gave way, I experienced it as well.” He focuses his eyes on the human again, and the sympathetic tone leaves his voice. “You did well to survive. But, to the matters at hand. Have you any magical talents that could aid us in this fight?” Felix strains to look into the inky darkness in search of the statue, or whatever it was, but he can’t pick out any details. “I’m not sure if that is even a statue. You might not be able to climb it, elf, and the last thing that you want is to be dragged down by those things. If you wish, I could move forward until I see one of them, then charge and engage the nearest one. Cover me from the columns, and I should be fine. Human, any magic…” Felix spots the human’s crossbow. “Or cover fire that you could provide would help.” Felix gives a slight smile underneath his mask. “I trust you will keep your aim off of my back. At least, I advise it. If this idea sits well with you, I am ready to fight.” He closes his eyes and gives a slight shrug. "However, it might be a good idea to find out exactly how many there are first. Perhaps sneaking along the columns would help, but they'd probably see the light." Felix idly twirls the mace on his shoulder, and reaches for his mask. He looses the mask, lowers it onto his chest, and gives a weak smile at the human and the elf. “By the way… my name is Felix. Apologies for not telling you sooner. If we are to fight together, we might as well know each other’s names.”

"Ah, my apologies as well, the name's Derin; and about my past and the destruction there in, I suppose we may have more in common than I had initially believed." Derin lookes to the floor for a moment. "Now. As for magic, I have an abundance, including a minor protection spell (Casts Magic Armor on Felix) , that should atleast help a bit." Derin Pauses for a moment, as if trying to remember what he was about to say. "I also have been known to conjure quite a mighty flame when the time is needed." Derin smiles slyly. "I can be prepared with whatever options we may choose."
