[Adventure] Marna is Missing (DM: pacdidj, Judge: renau1g)

OOC: You forgot to roll saves so I did it for you since it's important to know where are the shadows

Saves (RT 6; RT 9; RT 14; RT 15) (1d20=6, 1d20=5, 1d20=15, 1d20=20)

pac, fewquestions:
1. the beholder thingy is undead? - not in range at the moment, but can rebuke the hell out of it once I get to move

2. what kind of action would be to grab tjurunga's? (beside moving up to the altar) - and in which square are they

3. did I need to use Memory of 1000 lifetimes to hit Dhakhanmirr i.e. his fort > 18
?

TO ALL: Cyr is dazed this round so I cannot move/grab/coup de grace the warlock so I'll do next best thing - who wants to slide 1 and where? warforged would be obvious, but he already did his action - Luinnar, would you attack if had the opportunity?

OR should I attack with Hand of Radiance the beast, the warlock and Hekthesh?

OOC: re:shift:
My vote goes to just killing things. With Sir Exsixten's last attack, Hekthesh must be getting pretty low on health. Also, the beholder's "foothold in this reality is tenuous at best." Maybe he's a minion, lol? That would be nice.

Decana, I can shift 1 if I use an encounter. That would be astral blades to get you AC +4 and clear the minions; If I attack the beholder with an at will, no shift and Hektesh is out of range. Beholder seems quite unable to drop Cyr with his necrotic damage and my resistance power...unless that sleep spell works instantly.

Ah, I didn't realize Hekthesh was out of range. I can't say I'd mind you getting rid of the remaining tendrils, but the shift is a waste for Jezebel. Pac, I don't suppose Sir Exsixten could retcon his total defense into an attack if he wanted?

Edit: By the way Cyr, the tendrils have been attacking reflex.

OOC: @samursus - I agree the wording is ambiguous. I'll allow longtooth shifting to kick back in here, so you should be at 12 HP.

@Iron Sky - If you want to take the slide granted by Cyr, you can retcon your standard action to an attack vs. Hekthesh.

@MetaVoid - EDIT: Oops! I missed your save roll in scanning the thread, and went ahead and rolled for the tendrils. Oh well, my roll was better for you guys, so we'll go ahead and keep it. To answer your questions: 1. Beholder apparition is definitely undead. 2. Minor action to grab both tjurunga. 3. You did not need to use Memory, so it is still available.

You're not out of the thick of things yet, but there should still be a good chance of survival thanks in large part to Ferris' AoE! I'll update again once we've got an action for Cyr, a save for Alnar, and a retcon for Sir X610 if needed.

Seeing his more feral allies have shadows under control, Cyr focuses his power on bringing down crazed fanatic lest he returns to sway another weak soul.

Cyr invokes the Blades of Astral Fire strengthening warforged failing armor. It seems the abomination's appearance angered Joven as the blades blaze with the fury of angels.

"Ferris, get Alnar back on his feet! Jezebel, get tjurunga's, trust in the power of the Sky Lord to protect you. I'll take care of the abomination!"

Switching to eladrin he calls out to the beholder
"Here beast! Focus here, I'm your real threat! You petty warlock couldn't resist me and you cannot too!"

[sblock=Actions]
Standard:Blades of Astra Fire vs Ref (Hektesh); damage (1d20+7=27, 1d6+6=9) - CRIT!!!!! 12 damage plus extra damage (1d6=2) - centered on AK 21 - Sir Exsixten gets +4 AC TENT

End of Turn: No longer dazed;
READY INTERRUPT: Cyr uses Miracoulos Fortune if hit by an attack from non-minion.

Not heeding the deva's insults, the hideous blind-eyed apparition roars once more as it drifts closer to Ferris and Jezebel:

[sblock=Primordial]Servants of false gods, I will drag you down to oblivion![/sblock]

Jezebel is frozen in the blind stare of the shadow's enormous eye, while the smaller stalks fire off rays in the other direction, narrowly missing Ferris, but hitting Sir Exsixten, filling the mechanical knight with an inexplicable desire to enter power-saver mode.

One of the remaining lesser shadows takes advantage of Jezebel's stasis to sting the Paladin and pull back a short distance, while another pursues and harries the now-slow moving mechanical knight, scratching the surface of his hind-plating.

Hekthesh attempts to capitalize on Sir Exsixten's fatigue and distraction, yelling a vicious, incoherent battle cry as he jumps, swinging the blade of his shortsword at full-force into the mechanical knight's face. To the dark one's consternation however, the shoulder plate he had previously hewn off of the warforged shifts of its own accord to absorb and deflect the blow. Frustrated, Hekthesh yanks his blade free of Sir Exsixten's readjusted plating, and attempt to put some space between himself and the oddly-persistent knight, but is brought up short by a slow, but well-placed axe swing that merely grazes the dark one, but catches in the hem of his cloak, holding him in place.

Dhakanmirr looks on helplessly with clouded, unseeing eyes, still dumbstruck by the failure of his ritual.

Draco...tell the old man I'll be awake in five minutes... just a little more sleep... Alnar mumbles. While Draco's attempts at awakeing his friend are keeping him alive, it has yet to arouse him.

OOC: [MENTION=87106]MetaVoid[/MENTION], Alnar is out of healing surges, so I'm not sure what can be done for him at this point :(
