Colgrave stands up and pauses for breath, and with a wave of his hand he slides his bag along the tiles to catch up with him. That done, he braces himself for the push onwards.


OOC: Move: Stand Up
Minor: Mage Hand on the bag at J4
Standard -> Move: slide the bag to O3.

Next round: Step to P3 and hope I can end up in Q3 without triggering anything horrible. Athletics 16+1=17.

GM: I thought you had actually picked the bag up before. Good to know the mage hand is still going.

Colgrave surveys the way ahead and swiftly comes to the conclusion that the known quantity of the flame jets is almost certainly preferable to the possibility of stumbling onto another of the dreaded green tiles. Hurriedly he steps across two of the red ones to the momentary sanctuary of another purple spot. There he pauses only long enough to slide his backpack a ways forward - enough to be accessible from the other side - before stepping ruefully onto what he desperately hopes will be the last gold tile he ever has to see in his life (best not to even think about the possibility of a return journey). True to form, he loses his footing and gets dumped on his head once more.


OOC: Move: slide the Mage Hand with the bag to T3.

Move: R4 - S3 - T2 - U2 Athletics: 1d20+1=8

Colgrave avoids the flame jets yet again. As the gold tile rolls under his feet, Colgrave falls face first onto the blue tile in front of him, causing the whole floor to shift again. On the bright side, as he lays there he can see that the tiles in front of him are no longer colored, but have returned to a uniform gray.

You finds several tables covered with things, and there are pictures on the walls. As above, everything is covered in a thick layer of dust.

Colgrave picks himself up and steps off of the tiles with a sigh of deep relief, beckoning his backpack after him. Dusting himself off and trying to recover some vestige of his dignity, he has a look around but fails to find anything more than his warforged ally did before him.

GM: It occurs to me that there is another check I should have put up. Both Anti and Turtle should feel free to take a whack at it, as it has to do with the room they are in. Please note that per the rules posted in the OP you may not take a 10 unless the check lists the ability to use a passive result.

Peering about the place, Colgrave notices something on the back wall and approaches to take a closer look. "Look here," he murmurs to 354b, indicating the arcane mark on the wall. "Familiar, no? I wonder what it signifies, here."


OOC: Arcana 1d20+12=28

Does the glyph just seem to be a marker, without any other magical function, or does it look to be active in some way? Or do I need another Arcana check to tell?

GM: It doesn't look like any sort of explosive rune or anything like that. You'd probably view it more like a magical signature.
