..I Guess the concept was to blend into the Shadowdancer some of the Arcane Trickster

Arcane Trickster: (3rd Rogue / 5th Wizard)
100% Spell Progression, 100% S.A. Progression, BAB: Bad + Misc. Arcane Trickster Special Abilites (Mediocre)

My Shadowdancer: (5th Rogue / 3rd Wizard)
40% Spell Progression, 80% S.A. Progression, BAB: Average + Misc. Shadowdancer Special Abilities (Good)

I don't know if this is of any use or worth mentioning, but according to this,

both the Shadowdancer and the Arcane Trickster are considered as "-1" in this PrC tier system...

What I see is an Arcane Trickster variant, but even more horrible... then I think again and see a viable PrC for an Assassin build. Rogue 6/Assassin 6/This Shadowdancer 8 would be quite viable, or Swordsage instead of Rogue, of course. HP would be kinda low, though!

But what you seem to be aiming for, a blend of primary arcane caster and Rogue, is very weak: you'd lose far too many caster levels to make it worth your while going Wizard or Sorcerer in the first place. Even simple DMG Arcane Trickster is better in that regard.

here my thoughts. I would make the hit die d6's and increase +1 level of existing spell caster class and sneak attack to every other level. +1 level of existing spell casting class being odds and sneak attack being evens.

I think the standard Shadow dancer in the DMG is under powered anyways. If it wore me though I'd just ad full sneak attack progression as a rogue and call it good :b

I agree with this.

Just take a look at the class abilities and see if any should be toned down as a result of the significant improvement in casting and sneak attacking. I am not that familiar with these class abilities as I have never played the Shadowdancer PrC.

On the other hand, some PrC's give full casting and full BAB, so it is unlikely that this is overpowered. Probably just make those changes above and you are good.
