With regards to my issue with my Familiar, I normally had the spellcasting worksheet scrolled to the right a bit and hadn't even seen that section. I used Ctrl+F to find 'familiar' and nothing was found, I imagine due to the protection on the sheet.

Any suggestions on how (or if) I can tweak the information on the Character Summary page?

That's an interesting one as the summary page is pretty fixed, although there is a lot of space available initially at higher level this space becomes less and less - especially for other classes like the monk, or fighter battlemaster. One work around which will sound a little strange is using the Specialty cell under Feature on the Start Sheet. Note that doing this will show details in the Start sheet, Character Sheet II and Summary sheet (so might repeat some information)

If you have a specialty (or other) type this in and then hit ALT+Enter twice to ensure a section between. So something like

Researcher
[ALT+Enter]
[ALT+Enter]
FAMILIAR: Type (e.g. Pseudodragon)
[ALT+Enter]
[Enter Familiar Details]

You'll end up with something like below

Example Additional Dat.png

I don't have many named values for the Familiar, something that might be useful for future versions

You were talking about the cell in 3:Background Details, under Background, in the cells where you can select a value or type in something. I would love to see generic field called something like 'Other notes' that was appended to the bottom of the summary text section.

That works. It ends up buried in the notes, but I think that will work. I ended up using a formula like thls (without the carriage returns, of course:

="I put on new identities like clothes."&CHAR(10)&CHAR(10)
&"===================="&CHAR(10)
&"GP: "&AZ109*10+AZ110&CHAR(10)
&"EXP: "&Experience&CHAR(10)
&"===================="

Yep, that's the one - I agree it's not ideal but works for now. will think about adding a general notes area in future versions. I'm working on a few other ideas at the moment though

is there a way in the custom tab, to use an already existing race as a template to make a custom one,

for example use the half-orc as a base to ad the custom race ogrillon (half ogre, half orc)

Hi, custom races are built from the ground up, so the Ogrillon would become a new full race separate from the Half-Orc - it doesn't take too long to create a custom race (you can also save the file as a template that includes this race)

First, like many others I would like to thank you for all of the time and effort you have put into this workbook. You have done an amazing job with the project so far. I do however have a couple of suggestions.

In the Animal Companion/Mount section you might want to allow custom entries for Type. With the Paladin Find Steed spell you could end up with a mount that is not included in your base list.

I am not sure if it is at all possible but if there is a way to choose to hide whole spell level sections on the Character Sheet III tab that would be amazing for the half casting classes. Or possibly the ability to remove extra spell lines from each section.

Once again keep up the awesome work.

Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoy using the tool. I agree with familiar having the option to rename the companion type. I'll add this in v1.55.

For the spells, I did think about doing something like you've mentioned but decided to go with the fixed design:
1. Enough spells slot for pretty much every class (except Wizard) and fits nicely on 2 pages
2. For half casters, level max is 5th and most likely this pushes the sheet to 2 pages anyways
3. For pen and paper users the sheet is well laid out and easy to use
4. Design limitations for conditional formatting in Excel and without creating a macro (wanted to avoid coding due to compatibility reasons with Excel mobile for iOS, Android and Windows 10)

Hiya ForgedAnvil,

First of all, great piece of work. I love the tool.

I found a minor defect. Hope you'll be able to fix it in a future release.

Concerns: Incorrect initiative other modifier, when a character has 2 or more bardic levels.
How to check:
STEP 1: Fill 2. Class & Level. Experience 0. Level 1 = Bard. Then go to Character Sheet I - Initiative modifier section. Check that the initiative modifier other field is empty.
STEP 2: Fill 2. Class & Level. Experience 300. Level 1 = Bard and level 2 = Bard. Then go to Character Sheet I - Initiative modifier section. Check that the initiative modifier other field is filled with 1.
I believe this might be an side effect from the Jack of All Trades. But I couldn't find any reference in the PHB, DMG or Errate PHB that a Bard receives a initiative modifier of +1.

I hope this helps in improving the tool.

Hey Schlitt, thanks for the feedback, great to hear you're loving the tool.

The Bard's Jack of All Trades give this feature you can read about it in the official Sage Advice on the WotC website, below is an extract

Does the bard’s Jack of All Trades feature apply to attack rolls and saving throws that don’t use the bard’s proficiency bonus? Nope. The feature benefits only ability checks. Don’t forget that initiative rolls are Dexterity checks, so Jack of All Trades can benefit a bard’s initiative, assuming the bard isn’t already adding his or her proficiency bonus to it.

Note the JoAT bonus to Initiative is rounded down. This also affects the Fighter Champion - Remarkable Athlete feature however here the bonus to Initiative is rounded up.
