How can I make the bottom half of my character immune to gelatinous cube digestion? Glabagool has offered to serve as a mount. What we have in mind is:

First Post
1. Find a tribe of small humanoids, such as kobolds.
2. Feed said kobolds to Glabagool until the skeletons pile up in his.. ah, mass?
3. Kiss goodbye to your legs, with a gelatinous cube mount you won't need them anyway.
4. Grit teeth.
5. Stand atop the pile of skeletons.
6. Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women.

Bone gets digested too, doesn't it? I think what he needs is some kind of metal platform with a seat on top so you can ride above the cube without actually having to be in it. You'd need to find some way of keeping the platform at the top of the cube, though, so it doesn't down into it. Perhaps some stilts with wheels, so the platform can move with the cube?

Why isn't glababool a full party member? I think he would be a good wizard

Well I can assure you, we're sure as hell treating Glababool as an equal (using him as a mount is not meant to indicate any inferior status). We want him to grow with us. There's a whole big world out there to explore.

Some people may find it a bit ludicrous that a gelatinous cube could be a wizard. I have to admit that there is some truth to that. So it *thinks* it's a wizard, but it's in fact a warlock. :)

In 3e there was a Gelatinous Cube mount. If I recall correctly, it involved a sphere of force inside the cube...

Or you could just get a raging barbarian to sit on top of Glabagool and then have your character sit on top of the barbarian. Teamwork!
