Orsik is staying. Yep...it's a good opportunity for both sides to take a timeout and reassess because things didn't go as anyone expected (including me!)

Maybe the best deal for everyone would be for Ploop to allow Surana to take Topsy and Drum to safety then return? But maybe her priority is seeing to it they are safe. Maybe Erevan can convince Ploop of a different tact but then that denies Surana a chance to off Blopp and or a few lesser kuo-toa. Lots of possibilities here.

Oh yeah...I almost forgot Glugg...time for another monkey wrench.

Erevan watches Surana leave with the gnome and sighs. This diplomacy is harder than his father makes it look!

Pro-tip: Diplomacy is so much easier when you don't pilfer from people's holy sites

Okay...I'm pretty pleased with Ploop's explanation of the difference between the cult of the Sea Mother and the Cult of the Deep Father. Both are Evil by any reasonable standard...but one is more dangerous (or at least that's what I was going for). Surana wasn't there to hear it but when she returns you can definitely bring her up to speed.

That was pretty good! What bothers Ezraen is that he does not believe that the Kuo-toa are merely inventing their gods, but rather, they leave an opening for other powerful beings to fill that role for them. Having actually heard a voice of Ploop's god, Ezraen believes that Blopp's god is just as much of a very real threat...

Again, he has NO IDEA how to impress that on the others... :p

Do you want to do any tactical planning or handle this sort of ad hoc as I describe things? Any precast spells? Orsik can cast bless...of course that runs the risk of detection of some sort...

Seems kind of hard to plan for with our currently limited knowledge. I'm cool with winging it till we get there, see the number/type of enemies, map layout, etc.

And I'd kinda rather Orsik hold onto those spell slots. A Faerie Fire would be nice when the fight starts, though.

I'll be honest and say I don't think Erevan should up front as the sacrifice. You're dangerous...but squishy. -_-;; Are you sure you wanna do that? Surana is built to take damage. That's...kinda all she does. But if you really want to, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well, bless and faerie fire are both nice. If he readies the cast for when the signal it could be a game-changer. I would think that Surana would be best placed keeping the guards off whoever is trying to take out the priestess. Or, we could focus-fire on her and drop her as fast as possible, but I do not think we can expect the best of support and at best we might be the scapegoats in this. I can take Erevan's place and smite her, then Erevan might be more effective working in concert with Surana. I have two smites left.

Generally agree re: Surana keeping guards at bay, and we can move as necessary when the fight starts, but I'm just saying it seems likely that whoever's directly in front of her when we spring the attack is likely to take a face full of damage, both from her and her guards (depending on where they are/if they have range). Still think that should be Surana, but if you want to, ok - still not Erevan. It should be one of us up there so he can hang back and get sneak attack damage on her.

Also agree re: focused fire on her. Especially if she's got healing spells.
