"I'll have to get some more arrows and bolts, but then I should be good to go".
"You can have mine, I cannot forsee them being as useful in my hands than yours."

Galvich hands them the 20 extra x-bow bolts in her backpack.

"In fact, it may be wise to leave behind any of my stuff without immediate use to me. They're likely to just hold me back. If anybody finds use in them, they're welcome to borrow them...I will need them back, however."

She pulls several items from her backpack. These items are:
  • Light X-bow
  • Bedroll
  • Mess Kit
  • Hempen Rope
After she places them on the table, she awaits patiently for everyone to get themselves situated before casting planeshift.

I noticed I didn't actually get any arrows for my back-up longbow, so I'd like to get some before we leave.

Your Fighter wants to go arrow shopping now?

It's literally nearing midnight, the entire party is standing there with a demi-god and Chosen of Mystra in Blackstaff tower about to open a portal to the Astral plane, in order to stop an existential threat to the Planes occurring in a few hours time.... and your Fighter wants to go downstairs, and off into the night and see if he cant find a shop open that sells arrows?

Alvin puts on his armor and gets all gussied up whenever time permits.
Also casting Death Ward on Galvich - 8 Hour Duration.
Roger.

Everyone is ready to go. Suddenly Asa turns to the stairs heading down to the base of the tower and into town, grumbling something about needing more arrows.

Laerel looks on, clearly shocked.

She asks you all to wait while she instead summons a member of Force Grey (whom guard the tower) and they appear in short order, with 40 arrows in 2 x quivers, and hand them over to the Fighter.

I'll presume you're all now ready to go.

(In the future @Zubatcarteira please tell me what your PC says or does, instead of - or in addition to - what they want).

:)

While I understand your PC might want arrows, at this time of night, and in this context, I'm a little surprised by that being the thing he is thinking about. It felt to me a little like you were not 'in the room' with the character if you get my meaning.

For the record, don't worry about tracking crossbow bolts - your hand crossbow +3 generates its own magical quarrels, that disappear after being fired (as per the repeating shot artificer infusion).

Its called 'Peacemaker'.

Presuming everyone is good to go now.

Galvin gets you all to stand in a circle as she concentrates on the co-ordinates given to her by Hermes.
Suddenly the room around you all seems to fold in on itself, and rearrange itself to resemble a strange place indeed. You all stand inside a rocky alcove; outside the alcove a vast, wispy space extends out around you in all directions:

Behind you all is a shimmering mercury vertical pool, roughly 10' in diameter.
Around 100' in front of you, the alcove has two main structures built inside of it; a large building of some kind that resembles nothing more than a tavern or an inn, and a pier of sorts, that extends out towards from the main structure and towards the exit to the cave. Docked at the pier is a large galleon; four strange glass orbs adorn the hull, and two odd looking ballistae are mounted on the ship.
The ship is currently being readied by a motley crew of mainly halflings and orcs plus a few other even more exotic races.
Standing on the edge of the pier, a stout Halfling with an elaborate beard, peg leg, hook hand and eye patch discusses something of importance with a large creature that resembles an anthropomorphic Hippopotamus; a strange contraption resembling a hand crossbow, but without the bow slung on the creatures hip.
The Halfling looks up, noticing you and dismisses the creature who leaves and starts barking orders at the crew.
The Halfling then ushers your party over, a broad grin on his swarthy face.

What do you do?
