The Sorcerer (and the 3 Trolls fighting him) are 30' up in the air.

However, you DO have enough movement to get to the Troll Fighting the Rogue, and sufficient reach to swing at it (they're 10' up in the tree 15' to the East of your PC) so you can more direct your three attacks above against that one if you want?
Yes, please.

Re: Aim, I can't remember the last time when I had a turn where I didn't want to MOVE! I think this might be the first one where I could even consider it, and at the time I posted, I didn't realize that I didn't have to move. But then, there's no point anyway in rolling twice if you get a natural 20 on your first roll, because there's no possible room for improvement.

Absolutely. But Aim ALSO guarantee's sneak attack, even with no other conditions met (unless disadvantage is in play).

It's a nice addition to rogues BUT I especially like it because it's NOT a no brainer. Rogue's have SO MUCH they can do with their bonus action!

Yeah I was just reminding you because it can be pretty easily forgotten (being in Tashas).

16d6 = 28 + 24 = 52.

And with that, the Troll you're fighting goes down.

It's now the Trolls turn... and its wounds heal over!

Now you're out of its reach, it instead stands up from Prone, and attacks the Cleric.

13 - Ergh. Miss
21 - 13 Slashing damage
11 - Ergh. Miss.

Troll 2 (shot by the Fighter), heals some damage, and now flies in over the water, and also attacks the Cleric, as if it can sense his holy wrath:

22 - 8 Piercing damage
24 - 9 Slashing damage.
21 - 11 Slashing damage.

Unless I'm mistaken with your AC, that's 41 points of damage on the Cleric (ouch).

@Kobold Stew

The other Troll number 3 (so far out of combat) completes its move adjacent to the Fighter and attacks:

9 - Miss
Natural 1 - Miss
Natural 20 - Critical hit! 21 Slashing damage.

Troll 4 stands up from Prone (its wounds healing over) and also attacks the Fighter:

10 - Miss
21 - 8 Slashing damage
19 - 11 Slashing damage

Unless I'm mistaken that's 40 damage to the Fighter.

@Zubatcarteira

Trolls 5 and 6 both heal wounds, stand up from Prone and attack the Bard (able to move past the Fighter as he does not have a melee weapon).

Natural1 (miss)
25 - hit - 9 Slashing damage
18 - hit - 10 slashing damage

9 - miss
25 - hit - 15 slashing damage
21 - hit - 12 slashing damage.

Unless I'm mistaken with your AC, that's 46 damage on the Bard.

@Mort

Double check those numbers the three PCs that were attacked and if anyone has any reactions etc they want to spam let me know.

I'll provide an updated map in a second on the next post, but otherwise it's the Fighter next.

Sorcerer is 60' in the air and invisible.

Rogue is up in the tree? Going by his actions above, he likely actually just withdrew to the Cleric (who is the closest possible).

Numbers look correct.

No reactions yet, but If the fighter uses the bardic inspiration I may have one.

Everyone,

So these Trolls are tearing into us and it will be an inconvenience!

I'm thinking of dropping a hypnotic pattern to hit ALL of the ones to my right.

Of course this will also hit the fighter cleric and rogue! But it's no damage, so even with a failed save, we just smack you (for 1 hp) to wake you up. My real thought, the fighter can use a load of attacks to wake up anyone who fails a save. And then we take out the trolls one at a time.

Bit drastic, but I think it will work, thoughts (obviously need input from those affected).

@Flamestrike, figure we can yell this out during combat but also, we're 15th level - likely have tried this before. Any problem with discussing this (It's a bit meta)?

Edit: Save is at disadvantage high chance of getting ALL the trolls but the one to my other side!

Thoughts?
