Its one of those intrinsically lazy things like "Chinese food"; just looking at the sizes of the countries involved tells you that they're not going to have identical cuisine all over, but everyone tends to do it outside their own country.
They are patriots of their home towns like everyone else, here is a cinco de mayo she rode in

To be fair to Americans, in the 21st century, we don't really have regional native cuisine. Sure, every region may have one or two signature dishes, but I can expect to be served the same food, generally speaking, in Bar Harbor, Maine, as I would in Kansas City (either one!) or in San Diego.

The fact that the rest of the world is not like this -- that the English, insanely, have a different accent every 20 miles -- is hard for us to wrap our minds around.

RPG books as coffee-table art books is the worst. Give me slim pamphlets with just the rules that are necessary, hint: it’s way less than most people think.
My dad is trying to figure out how to print out just the essentials from Pirate Borg (he has old eyes). It's probably a single sheet of paper, plus what each character class does, and that's it for players.

The website has a rules reference sheet.

Yes, I lived there for almost a year, and it is a big regional identifier, in a way like a friend from London could even tell Alastair Reynolds was Welsh by reading his books.
