I'm not saying you can't have the Supernatural.

I just want the "Snipe you for XDX bonus damage at 1000 feet away" like the high level nonsupernatural martials of various media.
Sure, just cap that at lvl 10 and then at lvl 11 that becomes X+1DX damage at 1200 feet and its supernatural. That is what I have been saying all along!

Media usually does it by weakening the Supers in the Normal's field.

Superman alone= Superman is smart
Superman and Batman in Justice League= Superman is super strong farmboy with laser eyes. Batman is genius at 18 things.
Who leads Teen Titans: Usually one of the nonsuper smart Robin. Aliens, robots, science accidents, and demigods = Morons who need to follow the smart and/or charismatic normie.

Or the Supers suck at tech or stealth or detection.

Or they do give them some limitation like "can't use guns".
And that is pretty horrible for game play i thonk

You know, it Bruce failed at what he was trying to do as often as someone with Expertise does, Bane would be out of a job and we'd all be stuck with Azreal.
You can recreate batman pretty well, even with his high success rate, with 5e by RAW. Is it perfect, no, but it is a game.

Why is it capped?

Super Archer can be Mundane and level 15.
Man-Ogre can be Supernatural and level 15.
Magic Swords can be Magical and level 15.

That gameplay is already how core D&D works.

Because everything else being equal the mundane archer who does XDX damage at 100 feet is less powerful than the supernatural archer who does X+1DX damage at 1200 feet. Was that not clear?
Why does the supernatural one deal X+1DX?
The Supernatural archer sacrificed archery training for magic or boons.

The Mundane archer is the better archer.
The Supernatural archer is the better trick shotter.

@Minigiant , let's go back to the hawkeye example. Let's say my previous example (3 arrows at 3 targets, while jumping) is the height of that type of mundane martial prowess for someone with the right training, skills, and physical and mental abilities.

What is the next step. What if I want to shoot an arrow at every target within 30 feet (4e had a rouge skill that did this with daggers). So potentially 144 targets. Is that supernatural? It is the same mundane action. At some point your actions go beyond natural, that is want I want to capture. Using lvl 10 is my choice, for several reason, but it could be any level really.

I've never understood why some people equate "martial" with "mundane". D&D isn't an Urban Fantasy series where everyone who doesn't have magic powers is a mundane who can't exceed the abilities of the real world Earth. It's a high powered heroic fantasy world where your swordmaster can sword so hard they can kill giants and dragons and even gods. Where those who temper their bodies and pursue physical excellence can fall down a 100ft cliff and walk it off.

Nothing and no one in this game is "realistic" or "mundane". It doesn't matter if you have spells or not, a high level PC is doing remarkable things. Embrace it.
