So were Pecos Bill and Paul Bunyan. Doesn't mean I want a PC wrasslin' a twister into submission or carving out the great lakes so my ox can have a drink.
I would be fine with that if we established the clear supernatural powers such a character would need to perform either of those feats.

So I'll ask you: if magic is not supernatural, is the sorcerer a mundane character like a fighter?

Also, why can a druid change into a dinosaur but not a dragon if they are both natural creatures of the druids world?
Because the writer says so.

From the perspective of someone living in the world, Magic is as normal as Orcs and Elves and Dwarves. Even if from our perspective they're weird and wild and unusual.

Just 'cause -we- don't have sufficiently advanced technology and orcs and elves and dwarves... grumbles

1.) I'm ok with magic being, fundamentally, a power/source that is beyond that of mundane/mortal beings. That makes sense to me. If something is not bound by the physical laws, it's going to be more powerful than those laws.
2.) Barring the above, I'm already on the record saying the game should cap out at 10. A 9th level spell should only be something you find on a scroll, that is one of a kind, crumbling into dust.
I think a level cap is a smart idea if you want a more grounded feel to the game. But I appreciate that higher levels are available for players who want a super-powered game.

I see this from time to time, but what I see far more often is those players clpse to attack>attack>repeat till victory then completely shut down & cease participating until there is a new fight
maybe because there is not much they can do outside of combat that others do not do much better…

It would obviously solve a lot of internet debates, but I don't think we all here collectively represent a large enough demographic for these concerns to ever matter to corporate.

If something actually exists in a world means it's not supernatural then supernatural loses all meaning. Ghosts? Totally normal! Why even bother having the word supernatural as part of your vocabulary?
Because Ghosts don't exist but some people believe they do. So it's supernatural. Just like people believe there's actually Psionics in the real world.

And, of course, the supernatural "Exists" in stories as reflections of the real world. Even though ghosts have always existed within the world of Ebenezer Scrooge, they're not common enough in their interactions with humans to be normal and they don't exist in reality, so supernatural describes them just fine.
I was referring to the prophet, who was a man as far as I’m aware. I admit I’m not familiar with the woman you’re referring to.
Same character.

Tiresias pisses off Hera by slapping some snakes who are banging on a mountain with his staff. So Hera turns him into a woman as punishment.

Tiresias then goes out to bang EVERYONE she can get ahold of.

Then she gets turned back into a guy when she slaps another pair of snakes who are banging.

Then Zeus is in an argument with Hera over who enjoys sex more, men or women, and they ask Tiresias since he's been a man and a woman. His answers displease Hera even more. Silliness continues!
