I remember reading that in Dragon (or was it Dungeon? still got the issue IIRC) years ago, sadly I can understand it from both perspectives, it's a difficult problem that's for sure.

Why not do the second AP as an update compiled edition? It's almost certain that most of it's 6 books are long out of stock, and for latecomers (like myself) and new players, this is a good way to get hold of them.

it's much more practical overall then it's original form, simpler due to it's scale, of course hiding it from players while playing will be some task.....

Finally, some 5th ed content I WILL be willing to part my hard earned cash for, I don't mind PDF's at all, my virtual bookshelf is no where near as full as my phsyical bookshelves :D

I strongly disagree with this assumption, I find quite often if a creator gives away a product for free, even if it's only a few pages long, it's a good incentive for people to take a look at his/her work. If the layouts good, the art's ok but most of all, if the writing is great, that author...

For a one shot fun game, it's a classic. For a regular campaign it's an awful piece of badly written garbage.

Yeah I agree, DM's can never have enough critters to plague their players with, but one thing confuses me, I keep seeing it everywhere. [ tl;dr] what the hell does it mean?!? :p

yeah, the Scarred Lands was a great setting, still got several of the books (including the very first printing run of the Creature Collection) in my collection, and I often browse through them for ideas, some of the undead was really creepy, such as CC1's Alley Reaper or the Butcher Spirits...

Which is a shame really, as I work evenings and can never get to a AL endorsed game, but I really want to run those modules at home, and thus we can't because of the password. I do hope when they retire the modules, they remove the passwords and make them open for anyone to use.

Joe's Lone Wolf was great reading back when I was a lad, I had several of them, they were much more technical then the Fighting Fantasy series, which I kinda liked, Between Joe and the artist who did the artwork Gary Chalk and Livingstone & Jacksons FF and early Games Workshop work, Fantasy...
