Evil Genius Games: Not actually evil Netflix: Actually evil.

As an MtG player, I'm starting to get use to WotC releases with amazing artwork and mid content, and I wasn't so big on the last few D&D releases, so I'm definitely on the fence here. I'll wait and see how it reviews.

I play exclusively in FG these days, so I'm guessing it won't be compatible enough for me. Which is fine. The D&DOne announcement was the first D&D new edition announcement that I really didn't care about (and, yeah, I've been around for almost all of them; just missed the intro of 1E)

Not really. They're still going to continue flooding the market, because it brings the bucks short term. They did put off previews of the new set by a week to "help" with new card fatigue lol.

I was playing my Level Up game and planning my Cyberpunk Red game long before the schnitzel hit the fan, but good to see people expanding their horizons, regardless of the reason.

Robyn Nix is working on extensions for the Forge that will add more automation to class, heritage, background, etc. There's already one for spells (Level Up spells coding). If you've used FG for a bit, it's not too tough to do this work yourself, but I like to get these extensions so I can focus...

Anecdotal evidence: I've had 2 monks in my campaigns. The first died a level 1 death. The 2nd is in the current game and is the superhero of the group, doing far more than his share of damage (the fighter is the king of rolling 1s this campaign, so it's evening out, over all) and he's...

Only currently running a 5e game in the Midgard setting on FG. But, I reeeally want to run a Spectaculars! game. The problem is it really feels like something is lost not running it face-to-face. I hear there's a Tabletop Simulator module for the game. I might have to look into that...

Do you have CAD experience? If not, expect a very heavy learning curve. I've been using CC since it was CC2 in the early 00's, but it took a long time to become proficient. These days, personally, I use Wonderdraft/Dungeondraft. Haven't used CC3 for years, and would likely need to relearn it...

The Knights of Everflame? Yeah, I agree, that's difficult to watch, they're a bit over the top, imo.

Yeah, they're all friends from the same industry. It just happens to be an industry that makes for entertaining game play (millage may vary on how entertaining one finds it, of course, like all forms of entertainment) .

Our current game, the PCs are goblins, protecting their tribe from external threats. Before we started, I had to remind a couple of the players that it isn't really an "evil" campaign. The nearby human colony is a part of a fascist oligarchy and is definitely a threat, a rampaging gnoll band...

To be fair, a lot of D&D monsters based on RL lore are quite a bit off the mark.

Huh, most of the cons in that last one sound like pros to me... :)
