It mostly hits bookstore distribution. But more importantly, it affects international bookstore distribution, relegating D&D books to hobby shops/gaming stores in the rest of the world.

Pretty much sums up the Baldur's Gate fans who defend RTwP. They want BG3 to be more like the original BG games. On the other hand, there are a contingent of players who want BG3 to be more like D&D 5e.

Me, because having played several of the modern RTwP games, they're horrible (as in their choice of game mechanics doesn't synergize well with RTwP and the game suffers mostly for it... feels like those games chose RTwP because of marketing reasons more than because it made sense for their game).
