So, what published 3e adventures are you always going to remember?

I'll throw in those my players still talk about: Rappan Athuk Tomb of Abysthor Many, many Dungeon Mag adventures, but notably "The Weavers," "And Madness Followed" and "Shut-In!" Lost City of Barakus I may not finish my current campaign until about the time the 4E PHB hits, but I'm thinking...

D&D 4E Is 4E winning you or losing you?

I'll get the PHB and stay optimistic. However, I'll probably run my mixed 3.x rules for a while after 4e comes out. I may wait until the inevitable "revised" and perfected edition comes out correcting the many errata. Besides I'll need about a year to run through Savage Tide after my current...

Are you worried about character conversion from 3.E-4.E?

It's a big "if" if I even make the switch but I suppose I'll let 4th edition sit for 6 months-1 year and then consider changing if the layout/rules in the PHB are attractive. If they're going to make this good, they need to consider starting from scratch with a few things - seems like they are...

    Good 3.x adventure

Lost City of Barakus by Necromancer Games.

    Good Crime Dungeon adventures?

I'll echo "Shut-In" - it (can be) very quick to run, easily done in one night. I used it as the opener to my campaign last October.

I'm Done with "I'm Done "Threads

Could not agree more. For variety I like to experiment with various other systems, but you know what? I don't play often enough to be sick or quit anything. That's adult life. I have fun with D&D, kitchen-sink game and all. Complex or not. I imagine switching back to OD&D or AD&D and I...

What percentage of your RPG time are you DMing?

Almost always above 90%. Once in a while, I get the bliss of playing in a WoD or M&M game. Pretty rare, though. Honestly, I guess I like DMing :)

    Nostalgia for Our Magazines

Ah, play-doh. That was the article that inspired me to use play-doh for the dozens of slimes/oozes in a Night Below campaign. See, I thought it would be cool to use on the battlemat. Little did I know that the entire night would degenerate into play-doh throwing, stretching and mixing. Later...

Pathfinder 1E PATHFINDER: A First Look

Erik, personally I'm excited about this. It doesn't lessen disappointment over the magazines, but this looks cool

Would you pay for so-called Online "Dungeon/Dragon" content from WotC?

Voted neutral, Emirikol. I'm ticked (more accurately, saddened) about the mags. yet I also remain hopeful about Pathfinder which seems slick. if WOTC offers 'complete' packages of gaming material as PDFs I'll wait and see what those look like. I already buy here and there PDFs from smaller...

Pathfinder 1E Paizo no longer publishing Dungeon and Dragon

I'm saddened Don't even know what to say. I'm one of those that consistently has enjoyed the magazines and has subscribed for 10+ years. I feel like a kid again when I get them in the mail and read 'em front to back. Now what? I'll wait and see what Pathfinder and the Necro deal turns into.

Is it possible to make up for less magic with higher ability scores?

Ok, I'll second that. Caveat that I have not used it or looked at it closely but from what I understand it takes d20/standard d&d and retools combat, etc. to assume low or no magic. I've also heard that it's a tad more complex, but I think it's worth checking out. If nothing else you could...

Do Magic Item "Shops" wreck the spirit of D&D?

back to the original question. IMO, maybe :) I think shops and merchants should be spread thin and more powerful (subjective) items might not be sold at all and only found as relics.

Slowing Advancement and Other Arbitrary Restrictions

I've been running a Wilderlands game for a few months now and am using the default "double XP" progression chart. I'm 'loosy-goosy' with CRs and XP and use CR as a rough guide. After 6 5-6 hour games with much fighting, a party of 5-6 is near 3rd level and crawling to reach there. I like it...

Is Eberron a dead world yet?

It seems quite alive to me, but I have a hard time gauging how much Eberron is actually used in home games. Living Greyhawk if nothing else keeps Greyhawk afloat. I don't own Eberron books, but there seems a fair amount of source material and Dragon/Dungeon articles in the last year to support...

DM's: How many PC's do you kill per campaign?

as many as possible. Just keeeding. voted 3-4. Occasionally I run a short-term killer dungeon where 8-10 die over the course of 7-9 levels, but ultimately this gets tiring. I find it more fun if players grow with the PC - and death is then much more traumatic.

DM's: How many PC's getting raise-dead'/resurrections in your campaigns?

Generally speaking, my campaigns treat all Raise Dead-type spells as very XP&GP-costly with the added barrier of roleplaying with the church/entity and needing to perform some task in compliance with the religion's alignment/mission. so...in my last few campaigns, PC death is death and new pcs...
