WotC Has Wizards Screwed up again

Interesting, Gamemasters seemed convinced that it was North American customers that lost early access, having ordered the bundle and that the marketplace update was to blame. So I wonder if you know of North American pre-order people have got their early access.

I would refer you back to the Gamemasters video where he ordered both and has not received the early access release. I was wondering if other have had a similar experience?

WotC Has Wizards Screwed up again

Gamemasters Youtube Channel purchased Vecna Eve of Ruin on the belief that he would get early access to the digital copy. As did I, but I bought only the digital copy and I cannot find my email acknowledging the purchase. And the relevant D&DBeyond thread. Anyone else have issues?

At My Most Burned-Out in 35 Years

Ok, that is not as bad as I was imagining but still if you are stressing out and feeling pressured to run games, that is not healthy. If running the game is a cause of anxiety and stress you need to accept that and find the root of that. Take time off if needed and you remember, you are not...

At My Most Burned-Out in 35 Years

Man!, I ain't really going to give advice, you have got all the advice you need. Now I really do not need to know the answer but running a rpg session at a wedding party (seems odd to me but...) then driving 4 hours and running another session (at 4 a.m.) and you gotta ask: Why? That has got to...

D&D General Why does WotC/Wizkids wait 6 months for tie in minis?

Apparently we do I was wrong

D&D General D&D "influencers" need to actively acknowledge other games.

Heh! and that is being efficient, I have over 300 hours and only one actual play through.

WotC Hasbro Has Invested $1B In Video Games, Including A New D&D Game

Some interesting analysis from Treantent's Monk In short, profits and profit margins are up at WoTC and Hasbro has spent a billion on acquiring game studios and the only big game mentioned in a G.I. Joe game.

D&D General D&D "influencers" need to actively acknowledge other games.

Oh! Absolutely agreed. I would say that a couple of instigator players are more valuable in a sandbox situation than the DM.

I have seen similar in sandbox play. The tyranny of choice, some people do not handle wide open well. I would not attempt to run a Fate game, I would be willing to have a go at playing but improv (in the sense of coming up with something on the fly) has never been a thing I was any good at.

Except @overgeeked was replying to me but I have never played Fate, seen one stream but what you say fits with my intuition. Roleplay intense and world building intense is a lot more effort than a D&D style adventure path (not saying that one cannot put similar effort into a D&D game, but I am...

That first paragraph, I am not sure what you are saying. Casual gamers might not explore further because they are casual. I would expect there are a lot of casuals out there but even exposure to other games is not going to draw in most of the casuals. Unless Critical Role's Daggerheart proves me...

How many people really think that it is the only game around, that has played an rpg, not the general population?

I think we have very different experience here because I rarely hear that those games suck. If anything it is the fans of those games claiming that D&D sucks. Dungeoncraft is pretty pro OSR and Mike Shea is very positive about non-Wizard games on his channel.

I do not think that it changes much. If they are not interested to watch D&D content on Youtube or whatever, what makes you think that a large amount of them would jump into these games?

That is a lot more work than is needed for a VTT.

WotC Hasbro Has Invested $1B In Video Games, Including A New D&D Game

agreed and you could knock out 4 or 5 fairly short and quite interesting games in the Solasta engine in the time it would take to develop one AAA game.

Then why are they not playing them? Most of these system are not new, they are easily found out about for anyone that spends some time in rpg discussion related areas. but they are not that popular. They are still competing with streaming, books, video game and so on.

D&D General Why does WotC/Wizkids wait 6 months for tie in minis?

If the time frames are reasonably consistent (across products) then it is likely policy
